Chapter 11 Nate’s heart sinks at the sight of a man lying on the floor, covered in blood and curled on his side as they enter through the front door. It is not Sean and Nate is relieved by the fact. He still feels cold all over as he gently rolls the man on his back. The man whimpers in pain and Nate has to tell himself over and over again not Sean, not Sean. It is not Sean who has been shot and who might have bled to death had they not arrived there sooner. Nate leaves the man to the medics, going with Arvin as he is pulled to the side. “You okay?” Arvin asks softly.
