Chapter 1
ROSALIND'S P.O.V.
“Divorce papers?” I questioned as I looked back at my husband, but a frown was held on his face.
“Get them signed and go home, you don't belong here to begin with.” He walked out the door before I got the chance to say a word.
There was no way I was going to throw away five years of our marriage just like that. I shut the booklet and followed him.
“Mace…"
“Your Highness.” He growled at me and shivers ran through my spine, making me shiver, but I got hold of myself.
“What's going on? Ma… Your Highness, if it's something I need to change, then I will, I…"
“Rosa sign the f*****g papers. Breaking the mating bond between us wouldn't work for you, we are in different worlds and our worlds do not cross paths.”
“We have been married for five years, and out of the blue you claim that humans and werewolves don't cross paths? I have done nothing but love you over the past five years, even if it was hard for me to settle here." Tears filled my eyes as I looked at him, but he spared me no glance.
“Do I look like I care about how you feel? You have three days to sign the papers and I want you out of this kingdom for good.” I tried to hold onto him, so he couldn't leave, but he threw me towards the table, and the entire glass shattered, but he didn't look back as he walked to the door.
Tears rolled down my eyes as I tried to get up without getting myself injured. I've always known that he wasn't into the entire marriage, but each night he came home, slept with me, and told me how much he loved me, but everything was just a lie I couldn't see through.
“Your h…"
“Just leave.” I cut the maid short and I could see the look of pity in her eyes, but I would rather not speak to anyone right now.
Going back to the room, I sat next to the papers but I couldn't bring myself to sign them. I didn't want a divorce and leaving the kingdom that I was bound to for no good reason was not what I wanted either.
I needed to do something, perhaps the King's seer would help. I immediately dressed and left the house, but upon reaching the seer's home I found no one, which made me restless. I had a bad feeling that something was going to happen, but I didn't know what.
“Queen Luna, we have a problem.” I turned around to see a very disturbed warrior.
“What is it?”
“Rogues surround the pack and their Alpha demands an audience with the King, but he is nowhere to be found, and we aren't allowed to mind linking him." My eyes widened.
“Take me to him.”
“I'm afraid I can't, his highness…"
“I said, take me to him.”
“This way.” I followed the warrior as I held my head high. I might be human, but it wasn't the first time that I was dealing with rogues. If they wanted to attack, they would have, but what did they come here for?
“I said the Alpha King, not some…"
“Silence! If the King isn't available, won't you speak to his Queen!” I snapped as he looked at me with disgust, then he smirked.
“So you're the King's little human, everyone speaks off. Well, I talk to people of high rank, not mere disgusting humans like you.”
“Hey!!” Felix growled at them, but I held him back before he attacked.
“Shut the gates!” I mumbled, and could see the look on his face.
“How dare you try to insult me in this manner?” He growled and tried to stop him, but he couldn't. "What the… You have called for more than what you bargained for." He growled as he banged on the force shield.
“I'm not just a mere human, Thanos. I'm Queen Luna.” The door shut, and I turned around and headed towards the house.
Nothing disgusts me more than rogues, they have no respect and have a disgusting stench that I can't stand.
“Your Highness, a few Alphas will be coming to the pack according to his highness…"
“Five warriors to each pack which their leaders are headed here, not a single scratch must be found on them before they reach the pack." I stopped when I noticed he had something to stay, but he was keeping shut “... What is it, Felix?”
“The King's father is on his way as well.”
“Do as I say, ten warriors to the King's father instead. Hurry.”
“Yes, Your Highness.” He left my side, but I had a bad feeling about everything.
The King's father had never left his home, but why was he coming here? And why didn't Mace tell me about all this?
I've never met Mace's father before as he was said to be brutal and hated humans a lot. Perhaps that's why Mace didn't want me to know about the meeting. I shrugged it off and continued towards the house.
“Your Highness, you might want to…"
“Anne, I don't want anything, stay out of my way.” She moved immediately, but I saw a look in her eyes that made me confused. Why was she scared?
Opening the door to the room, my jaws dropped to the ground as I saw Mace against another lady on my matrimonial bed. I felt the familiar sting of tears in my eyes as my heart broke into a million pieces.
In the past five years, he had shown no interest in other women and I had tried to win his heart so badly, and now he was sleeping with another woman happily.
“The entire kingdom is in danger, and you're here having fun?” The tears rolled off my cheeks as they both turned to look at me.
“Get out of here, Rosa, can't you see we are having a moment?” He kissed her cheek and I immediately felt disgusted.
“A moment? I am your f*****g wife! Not once in my life have I seen you this happy while sleeping with me and this w***e…"
“Don't you dare call my woman…”
“Your woman?” I picked up a pen and signed the papers, “... Five years of marriage resulted in nothing! No child, no love, nothing! You are a disgrace to manhood itself, yet they claim you are their king.” I threw the papers in his face and left.
