I sigh in relief as I end the call with Haven, just hearing her voice and knowing she is okay settles the churning in my stomach. I just hope the young Alpha can keep her contained, because I know my girl.
She is very protective of the people lucky enough to hold her heart and I know Suzy has very quickly become family. Haven's first instinct is to protect and kill anyone or anything that threatens her loved ones.
I headed over to the rest of our team. We have been following a trail for the last hour and have long past the borders of the town and pack territory.
But a little while ago, we lost the tracks and are now back tracking. I looked at Harry, "anything?" He shook his head, "I just don't understand it, their scent and tracks just disappeared, it's like they just vanished."
