Cassie Cassie had been staying in Manila for a couple of days. At first, she just intended to have some vacation time and be with her thoughts. Ergo, the number of missed calls on her phone had reached a few hundred already. Her mother had tried to reach her for days. She had placed it in silent mode so she won’t be disturbed already. For some reason, her father never called and it bothered her. Was she that useless that he never bothered to call? She asked herself internally. “Miss, can you tell me where is the nearest in-land resort from Makati?” she asked her tourist guide. Yes, she hired one even though she was a frequent guest in Manila but she still did not know the way around. She hired her as she arrived at the airport. There was a booth at the passenger exit and the rest was done in minutes. Her mind was a mess and she did not want to think about where she would stay. That was why her tourist guide was a bit handy. She let her decide which places to visit. For one thing, she booked a private tour, and right now, there were only two of them. She invited her best friend Andrea to join her. One call and she was game already. “We have an in-land resort in Batangas as well as Bataan. If you want we can travel via a yacht to avoid the traffic.” Her tour guide answered her. In all fairness, she was beautiful, and damn those boobs of hers. She got the curves and the body of a pageant contestant. Cassie was suddenly intimidated by her looks. “Thank you, Miracle. Let’s go to Bataan. I need a piece of mind. I do not want to get married yet! There’s no cellphone signal there right?” She asked while wishing that she won’t be found. “Yes, po (a sign of respect) Ma’am Cassie. There is no signal in Bataan. If there was, it would be very minimal especially in the tourist hotspots.” Miracle explained to her. She was jolly and full of energy. “Besh, why did you run away? Why not find a boyfriend? You know Tito (Uncle). He will not stop until he gets his way. Why not defy him to the nth level by having a boyfriend or better yet a husband! Yup, we should find you a husband. That way he has no choice but to accept your decision.” Andrea shrieked on top of her lungs. She had a slim figure which could be easily dragged by a strong breeze while walking. She had no curves, unlike her agent. Both front and back looked the same. One thing she was good at was dressing herself and that helped to give her a sexy look. Cassie contemplated for a bit about her suggestion. It was great but the next question was, where could she find a guy who would want to marry her? Especially when divorce is non-existent in the country. “I think you have a good idea there. The biggest question, where can I find a boyfriend? Heck, a husband? I have a month before I get hitched to that asshole of a haciendero (Rancher).” Cassie ranted to Andrea. Andrea was glad her friend listened to her suggestion. “I do not know where you can find one. Maybe, we can find it in Bataan! Lol!” Andrea gave another idea. Miracle could not avoid listening to their conversation as she was too close to them. Cassie did not mind that her tour guide was eavesdropping either. Once Miracle had finished their beverages, she nonchalantly slipped RnJ Services’ calling card on the table along with the drinks. It had the tagline ‘Find your ideal husband.’ Also, at the back was the contact number. “Ma’am Cassie, I have already confirmed with Las Casas in Bataan. You may go there anytime you want.” She then excused herself to go and process everything for their Yacht. Cassie looked at her and smiled. She was glad to have her services. As she reached out to get her glass of juice, she found the calling card. It was designed with a mix of black and gold. She immediately took it and placed it inside her phone's back cover. Yep, she does that most of the time. She then relaxed her mind and let it drift into another daydream. She was imagining that handsome man that kissed her ages ago while she was in El Nido, Palawan. As she basked in under the sun. How has he been? I wish I got his number. Maybe, he would agree to be my boyfriend. She was smiling as she thought about him. Ever since that day, she could not stop dreaming of him. They were currently staying in Ascott Hotel in Makati. Both her and Andrea were sunbathing beside the pool. There were a couple of kids playing in the pool but none of them were to rowdy so they let them be. It was a lovely day to go for a swim and yet Cassie was not in the mood. She was too focused on her problems. The days were slipping and she had no concrete plan yet. She took out the calling card once again and began to dial the number. "What is that?" Andrea asked her. She was startled and was stopped in her tracks. "Nothing," she quickly hid it back. "It's just something I found earlier." She brushed her off. "Alright, just so you know. We can have a party and invite some guys as well. Maybe, we can seduce one of them to agree for a shotgun wedding eh?" Andrea was full of ideas. Cassie was wide-eyed stunned. She wasn't going to stoop so low just to get out of this silly situation she in with her father. Ugh, why can't he reconsider. She was fine with working in the hacienda. Actually, she was looking forward to it.
