Robyn The next morning, my body was still recovering from the aftershocks. I got up as usual and went down to the gym, but my muscles felt wobbly, and I didn’t have the energy, or even the willpower to push myself. I was pedaling the bike at half my usual speed when Phoenix strolled in. He went over to the bike and leaned over the handlebars to give me a quick kiss. Like it was the most natural thing in the world to start our day like that. It made me smile. If he noticed that I was taking it a lot easier than I normally would, he was smart enough not to comment. I noticed that he rarely did cardio himself, he pretty much stuck to the weights and heavy lifting, but today he climbed up on the treadmill.
