Robyn I wasn’t going to admit it to anyone, but the incident in the park had shaken me. I was deeply grateful that Jack had shown up, and that gratitude even extended to Phoenix. I knew he must have told his brother where I was, in order for him to come looking for me. Two days in a row, the Williams brothers had come to my rescue. Hadn’t I said I wasn’t going to make a habit of this? When we were sitting in the car, I was sure that Jack was going to lecture me, and I’d braced for the unpleasantness, but surprisingly, he had reined himself in and by the time we sat down at the restaurant, he was actually being kind of funny.
