Phoenix I don’t know why I let Dad’s little lecture get me all bent out of shape. It’s not like I expected him to celebrate our new relationship, or embrace our lifestyle choices with open arms. But it still infuriated me to have him trying to lay down the law to us like we were still little kids. Granted, we still lived in his house, but not because we were needy and dependent on him. As Jack had tactfully pointed out, we were the ones who had paid off his mortgage for him, so that he only needed to worry about keeping up with the property taxes. Suddenly, living at home no longer seemed like the most convenient option. In the end, I wasn’t really upset about what Dad had to say, that was all predictable and expected. Rather, I was worried about how all of this would affect Robyn.
