Creed’s pov. I smiled to myself a little and picked her up as carefully as I could without waking her, her arms immediately wrapped around my neck and she buried her face even further into my chest. I liked that. I liked how comfortable she was around me. My steps up the stairs were slowly, in an attempt to savour this moment with her so close to me. She was soft and calm and she fit so perfectly into my arms, it’d be hard to let her go, but we weren’t so close that I’d be able to stay in her room with her. Nightmares. She had nightmares of that bastard that called himself her father.
