s**t! Meteorite Rain

1146 Words
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!! The emergency beeping alarm sound packed the ship as Kevin came rushing to the Engine's pack with a terrific look on his face. Aiden looked at him mystified, "Why the hell are you looking so horrified? Is Lucy still chasing you?", he asked, chuckling at him. Breathing heavily, Kevin took a few astrominutes to control his breath. "Get there fast, something is falling around our ship…", Kevin blabbered in an urgent tone.  " EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY!" "CAPTAIN! PLEASE RETURN TO THE MAIN CONTROL ROOM!!" A mechanic voice alerted the shuttle with the beeping alarm ringing behind. "Captain, there is an urgency, please return to the manual mode!", and all of a sudden Lucy's voice notified Aiden to return. “What happened…”, he asked, running through the chambers. Aiden entered the Main Control Room with a baffled look on his face as he didn't know what was wrong there. Zara was sitting on the primary control seat working hard to run in the manual mode but she wasn't able to handle it anymore. Aiden's eyes opened wide in shock when he noticed the meteorite rain around the shuttle which was throwing firey rocks towards them. "s**t s**t! Get up, Zara!", quickly Zara bounced out of the seat while Aiden took over the control against the mini fire rocks that were stumbling over them.  THUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDD!!! "s**t s**t s**t!! This is not a meteorite season then why the hell is it raining now?", Aiden mumbled in anxiety as he pushed and pulled the controls before him struggling to dodge and escape the meteorites nearing them.  " INCOMING CONNECTION FROM OSCB!" The robotic voice informed followed by Lucy, "Captain, an incoming connection from Dr. Benjamin from Orano Space Control Board stating code Emergency!!!". Instantly, Kevin ran to the secondary display and accepted the connection. "Uncle Ben!", Zara spoke through her microphone but that twist of Aiden's control… THUUUUUUUUUDDDD!  BHUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDD! the torque produced due to the abrupt turn, threw Kevin and Zara in various directions as they were standing without any support. "PLEASE TAKE YOUR SEATS AND FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS FOR SAFETY PURPOSES!!!", Lucy alerted both who were gliding on the floor losing control, and they were striving hard to grab on something for grip. Aiden continue to escape the meteorite particles as they began to approach in a huge sum. Everyone forgot about Benjamin who was shouting from the other line while everyone was busy dealing with their sloppy situation. " Hello, is everything okay there? Aid? Kevin? Uh!! Someone answer for f****g sake??, yelling on the other side, uncle Ben sighed in relief when Lucy answered him, "Dr. Benjamin, is there anything important you would like to inform Captain Aiden Jack, other than meteorite rain?", and Benjamin gasped in shock. "Are you guys safe? WHERE IS AIDEN??", Benjamin started to pile up Lucy with his questions, and Kevin and Zara somehow managed to get on their seats as both fastened themselves under their seat belts in a blink of an eye. "I'll TAKE IT FROM HERE, LUCYYYYY!!!!", Aiden yelled as he bends and turned between the burning meteorites at a lofty speed through the dark energies of the infinite space. " Aid? Are you guys okay?", uncle Ben asked worriedly while "We just had a roller coaster ride inside the shuttle and I'm just hoping to get back in one piece!!!", Kevin reacted before Aiden, inhaling and exhaling heavily as he was so damn exhausted by the fall. "Aid, See you are halfway through the meteorites and the coast is clear after 2.6 light-years. Will you be able to handle it?", explaining the condition, Benjamin asked Aiden worriedly.  Taking a quick turn from a meteorite that was so close to hitting the shuttle, Aiden assured, "Yeah, Uncle. I can take care. This is nothing serious". Kevin's eyes dilated in utter shock looking at Aiden, "WTF!!! This is not serious??? My head was about to crush into chunks when you took that twirl without even giving a fu****g warning!!!", he yelled furiously while Zara eyed him to shut his mouth. “Umm.. Uncle, is this is the regular seasonal meteorite rain or…”, unsure with his question, Aiden waited for Benjamin’s suggestion. “Aid, this is not the normal seasonal one as we don’t have meteorite rainy season for the next 10 astroyears and this is quite unpredictable as we sensed this only a few astrominutes before…”, he explained while Zara quietly observed the burning rocks through the side fiber windows. Aiden hummed as he focused on leading the ship without getting damaged by the rocks. “Uncle Ben, Aid is quite busy saving us, please inform me if you have any info for Aiden”, with a feared look on his face, he spoke with Benjamin instead of Aiden. “Nothing at the moment, Kevin. Transmit immediately if there are any issues. Just let me know if you need any support from the border bots as they are near your area for surveillance”, Benjamin informed and cut off the connection.  BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUFFFFFF!!! “AHH!!”, suddenly the ship jerked a bit while Kevin yelled in high pitch while Zara shut her eyes tightly in fear. Continuous turn and dodge rapidly decreased the fuel content in the tank. s**t s**t s**t!! This is really odd… Uh, this is definitely not an ordinary meteorite rain… Aiden was lost in thoughts as he pressed the accelerator in high pressure. Pacing through the dense vacuum space at an uncontrollable speed, the ship reached the interior zone of the Almonda planet and almost out of the meteorite zone. “Thank god! I didn’t burn into ashes…”, dramatically gasping in relief, Kevin looked amazed at the sight before him. The blackness around the ship began to vanish when the Almonda planet shined like a dazzling star in front of them. “Wow! This is fabulous and beyond my imagination. I have seen a lot of pictures but this is on another level!”, with her mouth hung open, Zara awed at the beauty before her. Aiden sped up the ship and after one last dodge, he was finally out of the raining zone. The Ora Speedy entered the Security orbits of the Almonda Planet where there was a lot of floating shuttled for the regular border checkups. Kevin and Zara looked mesmerized by the tremendous beauty glowing before them. It was so fu**** beautiful, looking like a very huge Almond floating in the vacuum of dark space. “Finally!! We are here in one piece without any issues!”, slowing down the ship, Aiden cheered excitedly. “Captain, I don’t think so…”, Lucy’s mechanical voice informed with an inbuilt uncertain tone. Kevin, Zara, and Aiden took a peek at the display which enlarged their eyes in shock. “WTF!??”
