16 Drifter led the pair down the lit hall. Their footsteps echoed ahead and behind them, giving an eerie sense that they were the last two people alive in the universe. Attached as she was to Drifter’s arm, Allie didn’t have much problem with that. However, there was one thing she did have a problem with as they ventured down one hall after another. Allie swallowed the lump in her throat. “I hate to ask this, but shouldn’t there be bodies somewhere?
