Chapter Fifteen Raucous laughter filtered across the grassy expanse between the garage and the hospital. Doris ducked out from under the hood of the ambulance and stared at the crowd of people on the lawn. She’d taken advantage of the warm, sunny day and moved the vehicle from the building to work on it. The nurses must have felt the same way about the weather and brought the many patients outside.
