I pick her up and carry her to the bathroom for a bath. She keeps slipping in and out of her headspace. That makes her so much more cranky. Plus, she is in pain because of her leg, so I guess she will need a couple of painkillers. I somehow manage to get my crying baby take a bath without getting water on her cast.
"Good girl. Now we will take our painkillers so that the pain in your leg goes away and you feel so much better."
"no meds! Noooooo.. " she jumps on my arms and hits me. She is really cranky.
"Okay.. Shhhh.. Relax baby heart. Calm down. "
I make her a bottle with her crying and cranky in my arms. I mix her painkillers in the bottle.
I hold her up against my chest and feed her the bottle which she takes after a little bit of fussing. Soon she gulps the milk down and relaxes
