I’m beginning to wonder if Mel showing up for the weekends has anything to do with my mother and tonight’s mating social. At first, I thought she was joking when she said she would be coming back EVERY weekend to visit. When she left on Sunday, I thought for sure it would be a few weeks before she made an appearance again.
Then last night she arrived around dinner time. This time we sat and ate with the pack. My mother was super excited and kept talking about the social she was helping organize. No one asked me directly if I was going, but Mel all but implied we would be attending together. There was no use in arguing with any of them, so I kept my mouth shut.
During lunch I was relieved that they were no longer talking about mates. That was until the new topic was about Dev
