The shower Rachel took hadn’t helped her uneasy stomach. Neither did making breakfast while Oliver showered.
Everything was quiet and normal. She let out a sigh while she sipped her coffee, dressed in her simple gray lounge pants and mint green college t-shirt.
The simple diamond on her hand felt heavy though it wasn’t as massive as that crown princess ring she had in the vault. Still, as she stared at the intricate gold band with what must be a flawless stone, it reflected the sunlight wherever she pointed it, until she tucked it under a napkin and picked up her cup.
