Chapter 11Clancy was surprised when he fell asleep, and pleased when he woke up from his nap starving but relatively pain-free. Still, he didn’t plan on taking any chances. He wouldn’t leave the house for any reason in the next three days, not until he had to go to the hospital for his surgery on Monday. The house was quiet, and light from the streetlight filtered through the blinds he hadn’t thought to close earlier. How much had the guys gotten done? Did Dan get back with the tools, and was the wall up? Had they finished putting the furniture together? Would he have to haul his ass upstairs to see what was going on? “Tune in tomorrow, same bat-time, same bat-channel.” Clance couldn’t help snickering at himself, although truthfully, going up those stairs was the last thing he wanted to
