She was still covered in the dirt and her hair and face was a mess. She brushed away her tears and sniffed. Denny reached out to help her wipe her face but she flinched and gasped in pain. She was still a mess, with flyaway hairs and leaves in her hair as well as green and brown streaks of dirt on her face.
She spotted a mirror and turned towards it. Her face was swollen and had a slight bruise. Her tongue felt around her mouth and she felt the cut on the inside of her mouth from the slap. It seems like it collided against her teeth causing her mouth to burst from the inside. The metallic taste is still rampant in her mouth. She would need to rinse her mouth and drink some water.
