Meeting the Alpha

Seth takes the three of us around to meet other pack members. He keeps a firm grip on Anabelle. I can't help but smile at the two of them. I grab Vitoria's arm and tell her I am going to go off on mine own. " Do you need me to go with you sis?" Victoria asks trying to turn to follow. "No, no I am fine. You stay and keep an eye on Anabelle. If you need me for anything mind link me." I tell her as I walk away. I walk through the crowds of people they nod to me like they know me. It's so weird. I keep walking not even sure where I am going but next thing you know I am outside filling my lungs with the fresh warm air. I just stand looking at the pretty flowers that go around the grounds.

"So who might you be, I don't know you so you're not from my pack. You don't smell rouge. I feel a powerful aura about you... so not to be rude but, who are you?" I smile and look over at the tall set of muscles standing in front of me. "I am Alexandria from the Moon Springs pack." I say proudly as I reach my hand out for him to shake. "Wow you're all grown up now I see." He says as he kisses the back of my hand. "I'm sorry I don't recognize you, how do you know me?" I ask not noticing that he still has a hold of my hand. "I'm sorry, I'm alpha Zachary." He says smiling at me. "Wow, I haven't seen you in what seems like forever." I exclaim reaching over to hug him. With out hesitating at all he hugs me back. "Would you like a tour?" He asks holding up his arm for me to take. "Sure" I say smiling at him as I take his arm.

We start on our walk walking arm in arm. We stop every so often so he can point stuff out to me. At first we kept the conversation light until he brought up what happened. "I'm sorry for the loss of you parents and your mate. I don't know if you knew this but, I lost my mate as well." "Thank you, I'm sorry for your loss as well." I tell him as we stop to face each other. "Your father was a great man from what my uncle has told me. He was very traditional except when he mated your mother. My uncle supported their union but I guess some had issue with it." He tells me looking up ahead. "So, if I may ask, what did you want to talk to me and my sisters about?" I ask trying to get straight to the point.

"Well, for now let me introduce you to some people. We'll talk about that later with your sisters present." He suggests as we continue along. I nod understanding that I've monopolized enough of his time. "It's okay if you want to go, you don't have to talk to me out of pity" I say to him stepping away to let him go on. "I'm not spending time with you out of pity, I was hoping you and you sisters could help me with something. If you say yes it will be important to meet some of my other pack members." He says facing me. I nod as he picks his arm up for me to take again.

As we make our way back to the house, Zachary placed his hand on my back as he introduced me to his Gamma Mathew and his mate Sasha. They were very nice. Sasha seemed really happy to meet me. I guess Alpha females don't happen very often, they usually end up being Luna's to their mates. So a female actually in charge without a man was a big deal. Sasha was already trying to plan us hanging out. It was nice for someone to actually be nice to me without their pity.

Zachary lead me over to his beta next who was holding my sister on his lap talking to someone across from them and Victoria was standing in the arms of someone across the room. "This is my beta Seth" Zachary says as places his hand on my back again. "Yeah, we've actually already met, my sister Anabelle is his mate" I tell Zachary as I force a smile. "Oh nice to meet you Anabelle, I am alpha Zachary." He tells my sister while shaking her hand. Anabelle smiles politely from Seth's lap.

We leave the couple to walk over to the group of guys sitting at a table and my sister with another guy. As we walk up the gentlemen said "Alpha's" in unison before bowing to us. "These are a group of our top warriors. From left to right we Tommy, Chris, John, Byron, and that guy holding that girl is Ben." Zachary introduces his men as they nod one at a time as he says their names. "Well that is my other sister Victoria." I say motioning toward Vic. "Wow, so your sisters both found their mates within my pack, that's interesting. Zachary says with a big smile on his face. "Yes it is, I am happy for you guys. Finding your other half is the best feeling in the world." I say trying to keep the bad feelings at bay.

Zachary and I sat at a table to eat with a group of five other alpha's. Although I got a weird vibe from a few of them, most of them were very nice and respectful. Zachary had to excuse himself to go take care of something and left me sitting with Alpha Derek of the Pine Falls Pack.(The guy from our night out) He moves to the chair next to me so he could talk to me. He keeps trying to flirt with me and although he's sexy I don't know if I'll ever be ready for new relationship. He seemed nice enough and everything but he wasn't Bjorn. That was always the problem. Besides he would drop me once he found his real mate.
