Amelia’s POV
The next few seconds went by in a blur as the security guards rushed forward in anger. The one guarding the garden entrance punched the stripper who had caught me and extricated me from his hold. I was relieved to have been saved. The stripper fell to the floor from the power-packed punch. I felt bad for him since he was just doing what he was paid to do. The guard shouldn’t have used violence on the poor guy!
Too dazed at what was going on, I was about to flee, but it seemed as if my troubles had just begun. Before I could celebrate my freedom and thank him, the rogue guard picked me up on his shoulder and started striding toward the exit. I panicked, feeling too startled to react.
