Bea’s POV As we exited the dining room, Marcus's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Shall we?" he asked, gesturing to the door. Lila and I exchanged a look, our anticipation building in tandem. "What's the surprise?" I asked again, my voice barely above a whisper. Marcus grinned mischievously. "You'll see," he said, leading us through the darkened corridors of the house. Our footsteps echoed off the walls as we approached a large wooden door with an iron knocker shaped like a lion's head. Marcus lifted the knocker and let it fall, the sound resonating through the hallway. The door creaked open, and we stepped into a grand ballroom that took my breath away.
