Chapter 11 It was Friday evening and I was pacing my house. Kitchen, hallway, living room, music room…and back the same way. Over and over. I glanced at my watch for the hundredth time. Six forty-seven. One whole minute had passed since the last time I’d looked. I groaned and fished out my phone from my pocket and with a few taps, I’d brought up the text that had set my nerves on fire yesterday when I’d received it. Jane&I are coming to dinner tomorrow.
