It was all so quiet and eerie now. We got up early in the morning to grab breakfast with daddy. Elijah was mad at mom, and so was I. Still, I wanted her to wake me up. I just didn’t get why they had locked her in her bedroom.
“Come downstairs,” Elijah called me from my bedroom door. It was so odd doing everything on my own. I know mom hadn’t been there for us in the last few days but we got to see her around. Now that I knew I wouldn’t be seeing her, I felt sad inside.
“What about mommy?” I asked and noticed that Elijah returned to my room, he didn’t look very pleased with me for bringing up mommy.
