It's been two days since Kage started bringing Mindy around the kids, but my children kept their distance from her. Naturally, their affection for Kage had also faded, and they weren't constantly talking about him anymore.
Elijah didn't discuss Kage much because he knew that whenever Kage visited, he would bring Mindy. "You two, watch TV. I'll be with you in a minute." Since my kids were still upset with Kage, they were now being nicer to me. It was like a switch; if they were upset with one parent, they would pay full attention to the other.
