I couldn’t believe the reaction that Laila had to what had just happened. I mean I would understand if she had kicked me out of the room and insisted that I stay away from her. After witnessing me get physical with Evelyn, I thought she would be scared of me but instead, she seemed ready to give herself over to me.
I couldn’t understand it but I loved every moment of it. I could only pray and hope that she believed me when I said that I would protect her with my life if there was a need to. Although I wanted to go further than kissing her, I decided to not go further than kissing her because that was all she seemed comfortable with.
