John's lips touched mines lightly.
"Rosella?"Brent called outside the bathroom door.
John pulled away from me immediately ,he looked like he wanted to hit something.
It took me a second to find my voice again."I'm still in here."
"I just came to make sure you were okay, you were taking long to return."he said ,sounding suspicious.
"I'm having normal girl problems."I said."I'M ON MY PERIOD!"I added when he didn't seem to pleased with my answer.
There was complete silence for a second before he finally spoke again."This conversation never happened."he said, sounding embarrassed ."I'm leaving now."
I almost laughed at the sound of his voice but then I noticed John's angry expression in front of me.
"You do realize that we were almost caught?"he asked sounding pissed.
I tried not to wince at his anger.
"I--"
Before I could reply his phone rang out.
Whatever the person on the other line was saying had him on edge.
"What's the matter?"I asked as soon as he ended the call.
"I have to leave now."He said urgently.
"But--"
"Listen to me Rosella,I have an urgent matter to attend to now,you can't go anywhere alone unless I'm there to protect you ,you understand?"
I swallowed then nodded.
He sighed opening the door and paced towards the living room.
I waited a few minutes,my heart racing from all the events of today before I finally made my way towards the living room where everyone was seated with a worried look on their faces.
"What's going on?"I asked .
My mother walked over to me and rested her hands on my shoulders."Your grandfather and John was just sent to a dangerous site."
I felt like my heart had actually stopped beating at the news.
"What do you mean a dangerous site?"My voice cracked.
My mother noticed but she only furrowed her brows in confusion."There has been a shoot out near Albina street. It has gotten so serious that a few cops had to be rushed to the hospital."
I suddenly found it hard to breathe."I'm going to my room."I forced myself to say.
How could he not tell me he was going to such a dangerous place!
I tried my best to calm my racing heart but couldn't.
I knew what I had to do,I was going to have to go to that site and ensure that both my grandfather and John was safe.
It was insane that I would try something like this just to ensure his safety by putting my own life at risk, but he had saved my life so many times already.I owed him that much,at least that's what I told myself.

John's POV:
"Everyone fall back!"I shouted as bullets were fired all around us.
"What's the plan?"Derek asked as he settled besides me,leaning back against the van.
Derek was one of our best shooters and I didn't want him getting hurt out there.
"You stay here and cover me as I get closer to the shooters."I ordered before heading over to another van closer to where the shots were coming from.
I ducked just in time as a bullet fired straight past me.Looking at one of the mirrors I fired a shot and breathed a sigh of relief as one of the shooters was down.Three more to go.
I signaled for two of my guys to follow me as I scooted even closer.
"John!"someone screamed.
I froze, why did that voice sound so familiar and why the hell did it sound so close.
I closed my eyes praying it wasn't who I thought it was.
I turned around and there she stood in the middle of the shootout without any protection whatsoever,Rosella!
I muttered a silent curse before I took of running in her direction, ignoring all the bullets and shouts from my men. They were probably thinking that I was crazy to risk my life like this and maybe I was ,but all I could think about was getting her to safety.

Rosella's POV:
I stood frozen on the spot,I knew coming here was a stupid idea but I only knew how stupid it was when John picked up a speed towards my direction ignoring the calls of his agents and totally risking his life.
We were all in trouble and it was all my fault!
