Chapter 17

Nasasakal

"Hindi ka ba naiinitan?"

"Hmm?" napalingon ako kay Rafa.

Nginuso niya ang suot ko.

"Yan oh, nakasuot ka pa rin kasi ng cardigan eh tirik na tirik yung araw." kunot-noong tanong niya.

"I mean, maiintindihan ko pang nakaganyan ka sa hotel or sa clubhouse pero pag-gantong nasa labas tayo at kakain, ako naiinitan para sayo!" natatawang sabi niya.

Ngumiti naman ako. "Uh, sabi kasi ni Colton wag ko raw huhubarin hangga't wala ko sa dorm.." kibit-balikat ko.

Sa totoo lang, naiinitan din ako. Init-na init na actually. We're in the beach for pete's sake and I'm currently wearing slacks, polo and a cardigan.

It was days after we went swimming when I noticed how he became more particular with the clothes I wear.

He always tell me to wear cover ups. He even told me not to tie my hair anymore dahil nakikita raw ang batok ko.

Nagulat din ako nang sabi niyang slacks na rin daw ang suotin ko tuwing duty sa clubhouse at wag na yung pencil cut skirt.

I was confused for days so I started to question him why I need to do all those.

"Nayeli, ayaw ko lang mabastos ka. I know how men's minds work and trust me, even just a little sight of your skin can trigger them to lust over you."

I kind of find it ridiculous and convince him na wala namang pake sa akin ang mga lalaki sa paligid but he was persistent.

Colton continuously texts me to eat and give some random reminders. He also never fails to send very sweet good morning messages which is the first thing I read when I wake up. I would always start my day with a smile because of it.

Out of nowhere, he would also tell me how much he loves me, be it in person or thru text. I may not be able to always textback because of work but I really find his gestures sweet.

Sometimes I wonder what I did to deserve him. He seems too good to be true for me. I've never been this happy.

Nang matapos ang araw ay dumiretso na kami ni Rafa sa dorm. Agad akong naghubad ng suot dahil sa panlalagkit na mararamdaman.

Nagulat pa ko nang makitang nagpalit ng pang-alis na damit si Rafa. "Magpapadala muna ko samin tsaka maggogrocery na rin." paalam niya.

Tumango naman ako at pumunta na sa banyo para maligo.

I chose to wear a racerback and comfy shorts.

I was drying my hair with a towel when I realized na wala na pala kong makakain pang-hapunan sa dorm.

Naisip kong lumabas na lang at mag-take out sa pinakamalapit na karinderya.

I took my wallet and headed out.

Malapit na ko sa bilihan nang makaramdam ng kamay na marahas na humila sakin.

Galit na mukha ni Colton ang bumungad sa akin.

"What the f**k are you wearing, Nayeli Reese?!" galit na bulong niya.

Bubuka pa lang sana ang bibig ko nang hinila niya na ko pabalik sa dorm.

Dire-diretso ang lakad niya at binuksan iyon. I heard him cursed.

He looked at me angrily. "You even leave your doors unlocked, dammit!"

He pulled me in and shut the door. He let go of my hand and turn his back on me. Frustrated niyang ginulo ang kanyang buhok.

"I-im sorry.. Bibili lang naman sana ko ng dinner."

Humarap siya sakin at hinead to foot ako.

"Wearing that I see." he sarcastically said.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?!" medyo galit na rin na tanong ko.

Halos kumulo ang dugo niya.

"Why can't you just listen to me?! Fuck." I heared him muttering a few more curses.

I was taken aback by how angry he was and realized that this isn't good.

"Okay, I'm sorry.." I said and took steps closer to him. I reached for his arms and caress it. "..calm down."

I felt his fast breathing getting slow. "..hindi ko na uulitin." sabi ko na lang.

I saw his eyes soften like he realized something then he suddenly hugged me. 

"s**t I'm sorry for shouting, bb." He tightened his hug at isiniksik ang ulo niya sa leeg ko. "..and I'm so sorry for the curses."

He raised his left hand when he let go of the hug. I just noticed that he's been holding a plastic bag from a restaurant.

"I brought you dinner, let's eat." he said and lead me to the table.

He completely turned into a different person from what seems like a beast awhile ago.

Inasikaso niya ang pagkain ko and even gently wiped the side of my lips because of a sauce.

"Come here." he spread his arms wide when we were done eating.

I stood from my chair and went near him. He pulled me to sit on his lap. Ikinulong niya ako sa braso niya at siniksik ang ulo niya sa leeg ko.

"I love you.." he whispered softly.

I smiled and wrap my arms around his neck. "I love you too.."

Inilayo niya ang mukha niya at tinitigan ako gamit ang mapupungay na mata.

"I've.. never felt this way before.. I've never been this possesive.." he softly said like he too was confused.

I caress the side of his face and gave him a small smile.

I curiously eyed him. "How many relationships have you had?"

He paused like he's trying to think.

"I don't think I've ever had a serious relationship. I had flings though and I don't even care if they have s*x with other guys behind my back."

My eyes widened with his words at bahagyang hinampas ang braso niya.

"But with you.. it's different."

Lumunok siya.

"I don't even want you being stared at..." he whispered under his breath and softly nibble my lower lip.

"..by any other guy." he said breathlessly and gave me another kiss.

"You're... all mine.." before sucking my lips.

"Hindi ka ba nasasakal?"

Napanganga ko sa biglang tanong ni Rafa habang tulak-tulak ko ang cleaning materials.

"H-huh?"

Tumaas ang kilay niya na parang nawi-weirduhan.

"Jan oh!" turo niya sa polo kong nakabutones hanggang sa may leeg na iniiwan ko lang namang nakabukas dati.

Nang mapansin ang gulat kong ekspresyon ay natawa sya nang bahagya.

"Ano bang iniisip mo?" napapailing na tanong niya

Napalunok ako at hindi rin alam kung bakit tila may ibang interpretasyon ang isip ko sa tanong niya.
