Tearful Goodbyes
I was done.
As I walked out of the school I didn’t even bother to look back.
Jayce could think what he wanted.
I didn’t give a damn.
I walked down the stairs and across the brick pathway to the car Nic had given me to use for the last two weeks.
I didn’t turn and look back once, but I knew he was looking.
Instead, I pulled the car out of the parking lot- the spot that was marked for Jayce- and drove away.
The day had started out worse than any before.
Last night had been bad.
I had a fever come on and Nic and Bella were by my side all night.
