The Assignment
I was annoyed.
And nervous…
I had gone to school late, skipping English, just to avoid Jayce.
My happy place was school and to have to avoid it was torture for me.
I texted Jayce, I wanted to avoid talking to him as much as possible.
I needed space.
So, I texted him and told him we could work on the assignment after school at his house.
Hey Jayce
English Assignment at your house after school?
He didn’t reply right away and I spent the next 10 minutes overthinking a simple text message. Should I not have messaged him? Why was I listening to Jesse advice? It didn’t make any sense. Why could I have gone to Mr. Lathar and told him that I couldn’t be partners with Jayce and that I would work on the assignment alone?
