We took the first plane to Paris the next morning, even before the sunrise. Dad and Murtagh's parents had decided to change our destination at the last minute, so that if there was a spy in one of our packs, Grace and the rogues wouldn't know where to look for us.
We would have traveled on an airliner, to avoid being too flashy, and under false names; Alex, Veronica and Johnny Chase. In my backpack I had at least five airline tickets for different destinations, since we would have to move from city to city, from state to state, a couple of times a month or so, and more passports and forged documents with other fictitious identities.
