- KATHERINE'S POV -   A WEEK LATER "Very well, puppies" I said to the fifteen children in front of me, who looked at me with excitement in their eyes, shielded by chemist's glasses. "Now take your eggs and gently put them in your vinegar pots". It had been a week since my disastrous wedding, which in the end had not even been celebrated: Murtagh had left the pack house that same night, and honestly? I wasn't sorry.
