Chapter 8

{Maddox’s POV}

    I walk into the honeymoon suite and find Kaly in bed naked. She sits up when I walk in exposing those perfect bare breasts and my heart starts to race. “Strip.” I hear her say. She doesn’t have to tell me twice, I do as I’m told.   

    I stand naked in front of the bed and seductively smile at her and grab my length in my hand and stroke. “What now?” I ask with a husky voice. She throws the covers back and smiles. “Come here.” I start to walk to her, and she gets up off the bed and gets on her knees. Shocked is what I am right now. She has never done this before and to be honest I don’t know if she can.

    I stand in front of her with my c**k at her lips. She smiles and sticks her tongue out and licks the tip. Taking a little pre-c*m, she moans, “Mmmm.” Making me harder if that’s even possible. What do you need?” I ask getting on the bed and hovering over her.

    After we both find release, several times in her case, we are spent. But we can’t fall asleep I have to get her home by 10:30. I look over to the nightstand and grab my phone. “f**k it’s 10. We have to rinse off and leave.” I jump up. “Why rinse off?     “Because we smell like s*x babe, and I know they know that smell.” I chuckle and she gags. “Gross. Not what I wanted to think about.” Thinking about that did relax my situation. I laugh and head to the shower. I finish and she jumps in and by 10:15 we are on our way home.

    We arrive at 10:30 on the dot and Alpha Manwell is waiting at the front door. He smiles when we pull up and walks inside. After he goes inside, I walk Kaly to the door and she gives me a kiss on the cheek. “Thanks for a great night.” She winks at me holding her teddy bear.

    I walk back down the walkway and turn to see Luna Rosa glaring at me from her balcony window. I smile and wave at her. She turns and walks away. ‘Lord when she finds out all the things I’ve done to her daughter, I’m dead.’ I chuckle to myself. ‘Hope she never finds out.’ I jump on my bike and head home.

    I get home and my grandmother is still up. ‘That’s’ odd.’ I think to myself as I open the front door. “Maddox? Sweetie will you come here?” She sweetly asked from the kitchen. I walked in and she was sitting at the kitchen table waiting. “Sit son we need to talk.” Is all she says when I come into the kitchen.

    “What’s up Gramma?” I ask as I sit like I was told. She adjusts in her seat almost looking nervous. “Look Maddy I’ve raised you since you were born. For as long as I can remember you’ve been trouble, but it’s been manageable.” She smiles sweetly at me placing her hand on mine. “But you’re playing with fire now and I can’t help you.” She pinches the bridge of her nose. “What do you mean Gramma?” I ask looking at her for any clues.

    “Messing with the alpha’s daughter! It could cost you your Gamma position if they find out what’s been going on between you too.” She shakes her head and gets up to get some water. “Gramma we’re just friends.” I lie to my Gramma, which I never do, and I feel bad, but it’s necessary. “Maddox don’t lie to me. You were never good at it. That’s why you never do.” She chuckles.

    “But this is serious. Friends don’t sneak into each other’s beds or tents...” She raises her eyebrows at me. “do they?” She glares. “How did you know?” I shake my head trying to shake out the disbelief. “I mean about the tent?” She looks up at me surprised I ask. “Gramma?” I furrow my eyebrows at her knowing she’s hiding something.

    “Tanner. Tanner came and told me he saw you leaving her tent around 4am.” She shouts. “And you better be lucky I persuaded him to keep quiet.” She begins to cry. “Because if I hadn’t, we might both be banished.” She covers her face with her hands. My tiny five-foot nothing grandmother, is crying.  “Gramma, I’m sorry, but I love her.” I wrap her in a hug.

    She pushes back and looks up at me with teary eyes. “You can’t Maddox. There are bigger things at play here, you just can’t understand. Please keep your distance.” She weeps and looks into my eyes hoping I will cave. “Ok Gramma.” I say reluctantly, hugging her to my chest again. ‘It’s only 12 more days until my birthday. I can hold on that long, right?’ I sigh to myself.

    My grandmother was always the best at persuading people to her will, it was almost magic what she could do if she set her mind to it. After our talk and I reassured her, I would back off from Kaly, until my birthday we headed to our rooms. I walked to my bedroom and stripped down to my boxers and fell into bed. Tomorrow is going to be a full day.

    Groggily I woke to see soft light shining into my bedroom window. My bedroom door opened and in walked my Grandmother with a big smile. “Breakfast is ready.” Is all she said as she kissed my forehead and walked out of the room. “Don’t make me come back in there boy.” I hear from the hallway. I chuckle sitting up.

    I rush through my morning routine and dress in dark jeans and a yellow polo shirt with my white air force one’s. I walk into the kitchen and see My grandmother has out done herself. I sit and load my plate with pancakes and bacon, loads of bacon, some sausage, and putt some strawberries on my pancakes. Adding some whipped cream and syrup I dig in.

    “Thanks Gramma.” I smiled up at her as she stood beside me. “I have to go and start cooking for this afternoon. Finish your food and then head to the Alpha’s office. He wants you there by 9 sharp.” She kisses my temple and heads out the door.

    She didn’t give me any idea what this could be about, but it was already 8:30, so I need to hoover this food. I finish in record time and run out the back door.  When I arrive at the pack house at 8:55 I find Garrett walking up too.

    “Hey man did you get told to be in the Alpha’s office at 9 too?” He asks me confirming what I was about to ask him. “Yeah.” I shrug. “Know what this is about?” He asks clearly a little nervous. “Probably about this afternoon if I dared to guess.” I raise an eyebrow at his fearful behavior.

    We walk up the stairs to the Alpha floor without another word. I knock on the door and we hear “Come in.” We walk into the office and it’s just us and the Alpha. “Sit gentlemen.” Alpha Manwell said waving at the chairs in front of his desk. “Well boys we have things to discuss.” He says to us and I see Garrett stiffen.

    “Boys we need you to move into the pack house, on the Warrior floor. See we need you close to the Beta and Gamma for training, but don’t want to force you to live with their families. Also that will give us another house for a family, Maddox.” He smiled at us and I panicked. “Where will my gramma live?” I ask worried she would be out on her ear. ‘But he wouldn’t do that, right?’

    “Calm down Maddox I am not heartless. Your Grandmother will be moved to the Head Omega room. It was always hers, but she had you, so we supplied her a house.” I breathed a sigh of relief. “So are you two good moving in tomorrow, and starting training first thing Monday after school?” He asks and we nod.

    “Well now that, that is all squared away. Do either of you have any questions or concerns about this afternoon?” He asked looking between the two of us. We both shook our head and Alpha chuckled, “You boys will come into your voices one day. Now go and get ready for the ceremony.” With a wave of his hand we are excused.

    Walking out and heading down the hall I see Garrett visibly relax. “Dude what had you so worried?” I turn to him and ask. He looks around and whispers, “I told Lylah.” He wrings his hands together. “What? What did you tell Lylah? And why are we whispering?” I look at him and see his concern. “I turned 18 on Dec. 21st, I’ve known who my mate was. I know we aren’t supposed to tell them, but I did.” He sighed and I register his reason for being fearful. Though it isn’t against our laws, it is frowned upon.

    “Holy s**t dude. Obviously, she is ok with it.” I said with a wink remembering Beseeching night. “Not funny man.” Garrett says punching my arm. “Why are you so worried? It’s not against any rules.” I smirk. “I know man, but I’m future Beta I should have held myself to a higher standard. I mean I kept it from my best friends.” He throws his hands up in dramatic flair. “Yeah, but we don’t have p*****s, that you want to slide into.” I smirk and run before he can hit me.

    He chases me all the way down to the main floor and he corners me in the living room. Sara and Kaly walk in to see what the commotion is all about and find us. “Just like old times.” Kaly says rolling her eyes and laughing. “Guys! Come on not today.” Sara glares at us and we stop. “Go get ready for today’s ceremony.” She shakes her head and walks back to the kitchen, Kaly follows her laughing.

    Garrett starts to walk out and slaps me in the back of the head and then runs out the back door. ‘That motherfucker.’ I laugh to myself. I see Kaly smiling watching from the kitchen and I wink at her and head home.

    After what seems like forever, I am finally dressed and ready. Jacob, Garrett, and I are in the conference room waiting for the Ceremony to start, Jacob gets a mindlink from his dad and we walk out the back of the pack house. All the event tents are set up beautifully as we make our way to the stage I’m searching for my Gramma. I spot her and she smiles such a proud smile at me.

    We climb the stairs to the stage and take our places. “As you all know my son was tasked with finding his own Beta and Gamma, due to lack of males in my Beta and Gamma families. Well we are here to celebrate the fact that those choices have been made. Please welcome our future Beta Garrett Taylor.” Alpha Manwell boomed and everyone cheered.

    “And Our future Gamma Maddox Wright.” He pointed at me and the crowd went nuts again. “This is the future of this great pack and I have no doubt these three will do great things for us.” He smiled proudly and nodded at us. “Now without further a due let’s celebrate and thank the Moon Goddess.” With a clap of his hand’s music started and omegas with drink trays came out and started serving party goers.

    Alpha Manwell ushers us off the stage and pulls us to the side. “Gentlemen I have a business proposal to except from Alpha Jackson in 2 hours and as it will affect you all as well, I will expect you there.” He nods at us all making sure we understand. “Yes Alpha.” We say in unison. “Good, 2 hours. In the conference room. Don’t be late.” He calls over his shoulder walking away.

    “What do you think it’s about?” Garrett asked Jacob. Jacob shrugged and we walked out into the party. I see Kaly standing at the dessert table. ‘2 in the afternoon and this girl is eating snacks.’ I chuckle to myself. “Those are some nice earrings. May I enquire where you got them?” I whisper in her ear making her jump a little.

    “Oh these. They are a gift from this really hot guy who likes me.” She said with a wink and I laughed loudly. We stand there and talk and snack. Watching people dancing around and just having a good time. “Would you like to dance?” Tanner asked and caught us off guard. I started to protest, then I saw my grandmother watching.

    “I guess.” Kaly shrugged. I just threw on my best fake smile as they walked onto the dance floor. I hear a soft giggle behind me, and I know who it is before I turn around. Spinning with a big smile I see Vicki, Sara’s 10yr old little sister. She looks just like a mini-Sara except her eyes are brown. “Can I have this dance?” I bow to her.

    “Why of course good sir.” She giggles and I lead her onto the dance floor. I spin a giggling Vicki around the dance floor for what seems like forever. Soon Jacob comes over and informs me we need to head to the conference room.

    “Thank you for a wonderful time madam.” I bow again and she laughs. “It was my pleasure.” She says and curtseys with a giggle. Jacob ruffles her hair, “HEY!” She shouts. “That’s no way to treat a lady, you big dumb wolf.” Slapping his arm and turned to walk away. “Sara has really got to stop calling me that.” Jacob laughs and we turn for the pack house.  

    We walk into the conference room and it seems we are the last to arrive. Everyone is here, even Kaly which is odd. “Gentlemen have a seat.” Alpha Manwell says as he points at the chairs. “Alpha Jackson Blalock and his son, Jackson Jr. are here for a peace treaty. There was a peace treaty between the Moonstone pack and the Moonlight pack before, but things happened, and it wasn’t continued.” He sighed pinching the bridge of his nose.

    “Now we are going to sign into a treaty again. We are going to help each other maintain balance. There have been more and more rogue attacks as of late, and we need good allies to help protect the packs. In doing so we are solidifying the treaty with a marriage.” Everyone gasped except the Alpha’s from the Moonlight pack and our Alpha and Luna.

    The Luna looks dead at me with a wicked smile. “Kalysta Flores will be marrying future Alpha Jackson Blaylock Jr. in 3 months’ time.” Luna Rosa announces to everyone. The breath was sucked from my lungs like I had taken a blow to the stomach. I look over to see Jackson smiling at a teary eyed Kaly.

    “Kalysta dear I know this is sudden, but it’s for the betterment of both packs.” Alpha Manwell told his only daughter he had just given away to some random wolf. “Yes Father.” Kaly says bowing her head in defeat. “Alright well dear all of your things have been packed and you will leave tonight.” Luna Rosa smiles sweetly at Kaly.

    “What?! You said in 3 months we would marry.” Kaly shouted. “Yes, dear but you need time to get to know your affianced. So I suggested you go tonight. You will leave right after dinner, which will be in 30 minutes.” Luna Rosa smiled again.

    No doubt this woman hated me so much that she went and convinced her husband to send their daughter away this very night. How could she be so cruel. It’s like my heart is being ripped from my chest.
