Chapter 2

{Maddox’s POV}

    I walk out of the bathroom knowing what my girl does to me. Her raven black hair that falls to her middle back in loose curls. I love her bright sparkling green eyes and her dimples. Match those with her full pouty lips and button nose and you have the face of an angel.

    That body tho, will make any man stop dead in his tracks and look, mate or not. She only stands 5’7” but can bring any man to his knees with her voluptuous ass and full c-cup breasts. She is toned in all the right places. I love slapping her ass while I hit that tight flower of hers from behind.

    I pray to the goddess all the time that she will be my mate. I think about how we were each other’s firsts. I smile as I walk into the rec room and head to the recliner waiting for the next round of the new NCAA Football14. I sit back and wait for my girl to walk in the door.

    If we are mates, I will put a pup in her the first chance I get. I think back to our first time and how she tried to give it all to me down by the lake. I’m a werewolf but I’m no animal, well kind of. But I told her to let me sneak her into my grandmother’s house.

    My grandmother is hard of hearing and my room was soundproof. We snuck in the back sliding glass door and snuck to my room. That was the most magical night of my life. I don’t know if she is my mate, but I feel a pull toward her.

    I start to feel my pants getting tight in a certain area thinking about that night. When I am startled by a body falling onto my lap. “Oh my… I’m sorry Maddox.” Trinity smiles as she runs her hand across my chest. “I’m sure you are Trinity.” I roll my eyes at her. “Now get up.” I demand. “Why are you always so mean to me?” She pouts still in my lap. “Because I don’t want a slut all over me. Now get up Trinity.”

    “Something down there is telling me something different.” Trinity smiles at me. She reaches her hand down and rubs my member. I let out a growl of warning, but I look up to see Kaly standing in the door of the rec room. I push Trinity off me and tell her to leave me alone.

    She gets up and brushes off and acts if nothing happened. “Who wants to play spin the bottle?” Trinity asks and I am shocked when I hear Kaly say, “I’d love to. And how about instead we make it 7 minutes in heaven.” She shrugs and Trinity claps her hands excited. “Perfect. Kaly since it was your idea you can go first.” Kaly nods and takes the bottle off the table beside me.

    A few kids got in a circle. “I don’t think this is a good idea.” Jacob smirks. “Why not?” Trinity and Kaly ask in unison. “Because some of us are of age and might know who our mates are. Some of us aren’t but are close. I think this could be problematic.” He shrugs. “Am I your mate?” Trinity asks Jacob bluntly causing him to choke suddenly. “NO.” He spat. “Well then why do you care?” She asks with venom.

    “I care because my little sister wants to play, and her mate could be in this room.” He shrugs. “Also if my dad finds out she isn’t pure when she finds her mate…” He runs his hand down his face. “There will be hell to pay.” “Oh shut up Jacob it’s just making out. Ain’t no body going in the closet and fucking.” She remarks.

    “Ok it’s your funeral.” Jacob says throwing up his hands and walks over to the circle. Our whole group is sitting and looking at me. “You playing Mad?” Trinity asks in a sickly-sweet voice that instantly makes me nauseous. I shrug and get out of the recliner and sit on the floor with the rest and look directly at Kaly.

    “Ok Kaly your turn.” I watch as Kaly spins the bottle, and it lands on Garrett. They both look at each other and are surprised. Both shrug and stand and walk to the closet. Jacob looks pissed, but I know that nothing will happen with those two. Garrett is in LOVE with Lylah and Kaly doesn’t see him that way. ‘Plus she loves me, right?’

    I would have said yes beyond all reason, but she is hurt right now, and I don’t know where her head is. Trinity sets a timer, and they walk in the closet. We all go back to playing games and wait. 7 minutes later they both come out smiling and laughing and I’m not sure what to think. We make a circle again and Trinity spins. Round and round it goes until it stops landing on Jacob. I let out a breath thanking the Goddess it wasn’t me.

    Jacob grumbles and we all watch as Trinity sets the timer and then runs and jumps in Jacobs arms and he shuts the door as she kisses him. I hear a small whimper beside me, and I see Sara starting to cry. “Sara what’s wrong?” I ask in a whisper. “Nothing, I’m ok.” She tries and fails to smile at me. “Sara?” I look with sadness. “I love him.” She puts her hands on her face and cries.

    “Who?” I ask the dumbest question. Because when I see her face, I know who before she says it. “Jacob.” She quietly sobs. I wrap her in a big hug and lift her up and carry her out of the rec room. I take her down the hall to the empty dining room and sit her at the table.

    “Sara how long have you liked Jacob?” I ask smiling at her. “I don’t like him Mad; I love him. I have since I was like 11.” She sighs and wipes her tears. “Really?” I ask kind of shocked that I didn’t notice or see this before. We’ve all been friends for so long. I mean us boys talk about who we’ve had crushes on with the exception of Kaly.

    “Well don’t let this game make you stop loving him. Because it’s just a game and I know for a fact he likes you too.” It came out of my mouth before I could stop it. I didn’t like seeing Sara in pain. Her face lit up. “He likes me?” She squeals. “Really?” She asks.

    “Yes really.” I sigh and she smiles so big I thought she might get stuck like that. “But please don’t tell him that.” I rub the back of my neck. “I won’t I promise.” She says as she throws her arms around my neck and hugs me. I wrap my arms around her and rub her back.

    Right then we hear a growl from the doorway, and we look up to see Jacob standing there. “What the f**k is going on here?” He growls out clearly pissed. “Nothing.” I say with a half-smile. ‘s**t my friend is going to kill me.’ I tell myself knowing what he saw could look bad. I know Sara is his mate. Garrett does too he told us the day he turned 18.  

    “Maddox was just helping me through a problem.” She stood and walked over to Jacob and places her hand on his chest. He instantly calms at her touch and she notices. I think that little devil just figured it out. “Nothing to worry about. I have a guy I like and it’s not Maddox.” She smiles over at me winking.

    “Who?” Jacob growls. I roll my eyes and laugh. He stares daggers at me. “You.” She looks up at him and smiles shyly. “I was crying when you went in the closet and Maddox brought me in here to comfort me and remind me that it was just a game.” She smiles at him and he smiles down at her. He wraps her in his arms, and they kiss.

    I decided it was a good time to take my leave. I walked back to the rec room in time to watch Tanner spin and I prayed it didn’t land on the person I know he wanted it to, Kaly, my Kaly. The goddess did not answer my prayers this time. As Tanner jumped up and held his hand out for Kaly and she took it. She stood and they walked to the closet.

    I watched in horror as Trinity set the timer and he placed his hand dangerously low on her back and walked her into the closet. Before he shut the door, she looked at me and I shook my head and walked away. I knew this time something would happen in that closet; of that I was certain. I needed air. I needed space. I needed nature. I went for a run.

    I can’t wait to turn 18 and have my wolf. ‘Wonder what he will look like?’ I question myself. I run down to the lake and hang my head. ‘Why did I come here?’ I shake my head. ‘This is our spot, but now because she saw Trinity and assumed.’ “UGH” I yell out in frustration. Just then Trinity walks up behind me.

    “What’s wrong?” She asks rubbing my chest. “Nothing.” I yell. “Well it seems like something.” She smiles and rubs down my body to my c**k. “Maybe a little s****l tension?” She grabs ahold of my manhood and I let out a small moan. I can’t deny that Trinity was hot and if I weren’t so into Kaly, I’d f**k her. “Look Trinity I like someone. She might even be my mate, but I don’t know yet.” I tell her.

    “Well just pretend I’m her then.” She says as she drops to her knees and unzips my pants. “I can’t do that.” I say as she kisses the tip of my d**k and I moan. “Seems like you can.” And with that she sucks me into her mouth. My body is loving her tricks, but my head and heart are screaming stop.

    I push Trinity away and yell “What the hell. I can’t do this I don’t want you. I want her.” Trinity looks up at me and huffs. “Well one day I will have you.” She stands and starts to walk away, but then spins and jumps on me and crashes her lips to mine. She kisses me feverously and I just stand there. “Looks like he doesn’t want to stop.” She smiles down at my d**k.

    “Look Trinity you are gorgeous, but you’re not her.” I look at her and push away from her and tuck myself back in my pants. “Doesn’t matter.” She smiled. “Kaly just saw us so I’m sure she is going to go tell Sara.” She shrugged and started walking away. “What do you mean Kaly saw, and she will tell Sara?” I panic, but I’m also confused.

    “Sara the one you like. The one you left with when Jacob and I went into the closet.” She laughs. “But then Jacob took her from you, didn’t he?” She laughs again and starts to walk away. “f**k!” I shout. “You conniving b***h, you just ruined everything.”  I take off running after Kaly.

    I run to the pack house and go looking for Kaly. I burst into her room and it is empty. I run towards Jacobs room. I swing the door open to find a very naked Jacob and Sara f*****g. “Damn what is it with you guys today?” Jacob shouts as I close the door back.

    “Sorry man. Happy for you tho. Have you seen Kaly?” I ask with the door barely cracked. “Yeah, she just bust in my door about 5 mins ago. Hey, speaking of reach in my door and lock it, but don’t be looking man.” He answers back. “Sure. Do you know where she went?” I ask reaching in the door and locking it. “Nah man she shut the door and ran off.”  He responds and I shut the door.

    I take off running back down to the main floor trying to rack my brain of where she could have gone. I see Trinity sitting in the rec room. When she sees me, she starts laughing. “Maddox you look panicked.” She laughs again. “If you’re looking for Kaly she was just here. Looking worried like she needed to tell someone something.” She cackles.

    I march over to her and grab her by her throat and I hoist her in the air. “Hear me now. I don’t want Sara she is someone’s mate.” I shout and I bring her close and whisper in her ear. “Kaly is the one I love, always have and probably always will.” I push her back into the air and her eyes widen in shock and she is terrified of what I might do to her.

    I drop her and look down at her with hatred, “If you ever come near me or my girl again, I will kill you.” I say just above a whisper. She nods holding her throat. Now to find my girl. I turn and start thinking of places she could have gone. “She went out the back door.” I hear Trinity’s raspy voice crack in a whisper. I nod at her and run out.

    I wish I had my wolf; he could help me sniff her out. We all have scents, but we don’t come into heighten awareness of our senses to sniff out scents until our wolf comes.

    I rush toward the lake, maybe, just maybe she went back to our spot. As I run, I pray to the moon goddess that she helps me be able to fix this. I ran faster than I think I ever have, in hopes I’d see my beautiful Kaly at our spot. I reached the tree line by the lake and I see her sitting on top of the big rock that over hangs the water.

    I remember back to the first night. When she and I almost did it on that rock, but instead I snuck her into my Grandma’s and made love to her in my bed. I remember the look of her beautiful body laying naked on my bed while I undressed.

    She was still coming down from the orgasm I gave her with my tongue. I climbed on the bed between her legs, and she looked at me with her sweet innocent face and nodded. I hovered over her and asked if she was ready, and she told me yes.

    “Hey Kaly. Can we please talk about what you think you saw?” I ask rubbing the back of my neck. She turns and stares daggers at me, “What I think I saw?” She yells. “What I saw you mean?” She throws her hands up in dramatic flair. “Like how I saw her in your lap in the rec room and you didn’t push her away until you saw me?” She huffs and I can see the tears building in her eyes.

    “Or how I came to find you and talk and found you, d**k out, and Trinity’s tongue down your throat?” She is sobbing now. I walk toward her, and she holds her hand up. “You know, I felt bad for letting Tanner try to kiss me in the closet, but now I wish I had.” She huffs and lets out more tears.

    “Are you f*****g kidding me right now?” I shout at her. “First of all Trinity fell into my lap while I was waiting to play your brother next on the new game. I pushed her off almost immediately, you walked in right after she landed is my guess.” I take a breath and continue. “Secondly I came back to find you going into the closet with Tanner. So I went for a run. I ended up here, at OUR spot.” I say waving my hands around.

    “Trinity showed up talking nonsense, and in my weakness, she got on her knees and tried to suck my d**k. That thing has a mind of its own, but I was thinking about you. So I pushed her away.” I huff. “But then I guess she saw you and put on the little show of jumping on me and kissing me. Let me ask you, did you see my arms around her?” She looks up at me and shakes her head.

    “Nope. That’s right you didn’t because I wasn’t kissing her.” I shout. “She told me it was a show and thought you’d tell Sara because somehow that’s who she thought I liked. I just almost killed her in the rec room and told her it was you I love. Only to come out here and have you tell me you wish you would’ve let Tanner kiss you.” I look at her with hurt in my eyes.

    “f**k this s**t. It’s too stupid to think we could have this great love affair and end up being mates. It’s probably best we just let this thing go and wait for our mates.” I say and walk over to her and kiss her one last time. Then I turn and walk away to my grandma’s house before she can convince me to stay.
