I woke up the next morning, feeling as if somehow I had entered an alternate universe… or maybe I had actually entered the twilight zone? Whatever it was, I sure as hell couldn’t remember the last time I had woken up feeling like this. My eyes fluttered open from the sunlight that was shining through from underneath the drapes. My body felt warm, like the good kind of warm like you would feel when you are warming up around the fire after playing in the snow all day long, a cup of hot cocoa resting in your hands while being surrounded by your family and friends. I sighed deeply and felt content.
Only to flash my eyes open, once reality had sunken into my brain. I had had a nightmare. Jeremy was inside my room. I had asked him to stay with me…
