Time flies when you're having fun and before I knew it, summer had come to an end and I was already in my third year of high school.
Leon and I still drew stares as we walked in the halls. We still made most of the students scurry away or hide, well Leon did, but I thought it was a big improvement how my classmates from last year didn't shy away from me when I entered my assigned classroom for the year. Hannah noticed me at the door and she beamed as she started to weave between the desks.
"Sophia! You're here!" she cried happily. Then she saw Leon and stopped short. "H-h-hey, Leon," she stammered, waving weakly.
Leon acknowledged her with a chin tilt and then gave me a peck on the lips. "I'll see you at lunch," he murmured.
