A scream came from behind Rhiannon, and the sound of beating wings descended upon them. Poeso slashed the bear’s shoulder with long, sharp claws. The Bear roared and swatted at the pax as she tried to s***h at the bear’s face.
Kyia took the opportunity to grab Rhiannon’s arm and pull her back towards Zellan who nervously stamped the frozen earth but refused to leave Rhiannon.
“Get on your horse, milady.” Kyia continued to pull her back with one hand while holding on tightly to her sword with the other.
Rhiannon still could not find her voice, nor could she look away from the huge creature that was now engaged in a battle with Poeso. The great, black bear stepped out of the way just missing a flesh-tearing swipe from the pax, then quickly spun around and delivered a hard blow to the wing
