Maddie’s Point of View His grip tightened on my arm, compelling me to rise. Yet, my legs betrayed me, giving way like jelly. Despite my desperate desire to stand, I found myself sinking back to the ground. As I lifted my gaze to meet him, his red eyes did not diminish; instead, they glowed with an intensity that hinted at his waning patience. As our eyes locked in a fierce battle, I was taken aback when he abruptly yanked my arm and tightened his grip around my waist. A surge of pain shot through me as his hold on my arm grew tighter. Yet, at that moment, the discomfort seemed to fade away as I felt a warm and gentle lick on my cheek.
