“What do you think?”
Kristie’s mother looked directly at Gray. Gray cleared his throat and shifted uncomfortably, looking around the venue.
“Kristie should probably see it.” He tried to avoid the question.
Pamela waved her hand. “She’s coming after her lunch with Kass. What do you think?”
What did Gray think? He thought that life had taken a drastic turn since Kristie had agreed to marry him three weeks ago. He was sweating bullets when he told Lionel that he was marrying Kristie. Gray had never been as nervous as he had been as he sat Lionel down to break the news to him. Kristie was doing the same, at her mom’s office, to try to ward off an outburst.
