SEDUCED TO SLEEP C8

1650 Words
“You’re not confident? If she likes you, she likes you. If not, then it’s not going to work.” Austin took a deep breath. “Alright. I’ll go and see her tomorrow.” “Hmm. Meet me after three weeks.” “I understand. Thank you for your time, sir.” Austin got up and shook the man’s hand. He’s glad that her dad was a calm and rational person. He suddenly became nervous. How was he supposed to present himself to her? How should he greet her? In the last month, he has already learned her usual schedule. She doesn’t go out much and she no longer goes to the club where they met. On Friday afternoons, there’s this bakery or coffee shop where she spends at least an hour to relax. He’d seen her reading books. He wouldn’t dare to directly knock on her home. That would be intrusion and she might not appreciate it. Tomorrow, then. He wished that things would go well. Austin checked himself in the mirror many times. He has changed his attire more than thrice. He’s actually nervous. What if she’s no longer interested in him? He drove towards the coffee shop. He didn’t dare to be early, but he wouldn’t dare to be late as well. He arrived just in time and waited at least five minutes for her to make her order and sit on the usual table she occupies. Paige liked having these few hours to herself. She sipped her coffee and opened her book where she left off last time. She sent her son to her father for the weekend. Her dad was very supportive and he loved his grandson. She was just about to finish a page when someone took a seat next to her. She knew there are plenty of spaces on other tables, so she frowned upon being disturbed. She lifted her head and was about to tell the person off but the words were caught in her throat. In front of her was the man who haunted her dreams. “It’s been a while.” He smiled at her and she was mesmerized. He looked different, but more handsome than he used to be. He has also put on more muscles. “Hi.” She managed to say while staring at him. Austin liked the attention. “How have you been?” “Oh. Uhm, good. You?” Paige was still in disbelief. Was he really in front of her or was she hallucinating? It would be terrible if people see her speaking to no one. “It’s been alright. We haven’t seen each other in a long time.” She managed a smile this time, still keeping her gaze on him. She missed him. She missed him so much. “You’ve been very busy.” Austin simply stared at her, drinking in the sight of her. She’s gotten more beautiful. He allowed a few minutes of silence before breaching an important subject. He cleared his throat before asking the question. “Do you like him?” “What?” Paige didn’t think he would ask something like that. She was quick to understand what he meant. “Your fiancé.” Paige paled, realizing he knew about her engagement. s**t. What should she do? What should she tell him? “What was your question again?” She felt embarrassed and averted her gaze. “Do you like him?” He remained nervous, hoping he would like her answer. She bit her lip. She should be truthful. There’s no sense lying to him, right? “Not really.” He was visibly relieved to hear that. “Are you really going to marry him?” His questions . . . they made her speechless. They haven’t seen each other in two years and this is what they’re discussing? She decided not to answer immediately and took the time to think. When she calmed down, she realized his questions did make sense. She sighed, “I don’t want to, but my dad was set on him.” She told him the truth, not wanting to give him the wrong impression. “Maybe your dad will change his mind.” Paige actually grinned, “I’ve been trying to dig up some dirt on him, so I could convince my dad that he’s not the right guy for me.” He raised an eyebrow, impressed by her reply. “I should’ve known.” “Known what?” “That you won’t do anything you didn’t want.” “Of course.” And she was proud of it. With that out of the way, Austin has another concern. “How was your condition? Do you still suffer from insomnia?” Here, she continued to smile. She has a theory on why she’d been able to sleep well even after he left, but . . . she couldn’t tell him about it at this time. Maybe later if things go well between them. For now, what should she say? Was he merely concerned? Why did he ask this specific question? Just like earlier, she didn’t reply for quite a while and returned her gaze on him. She was amused by how they’re looking at each other without saying a word. She managed to come up with a convincing alternative as explanation. “We’ve been together for months, I think I’ve gotten used to it. I slept well every night during that period, it’s possible it resolved my issue.” He was a little stumped. Though he’s glad that she hasn’t suffered from her previous condition, he wouldn’t be able to use it as an opening. What would she need him for? “Anything I can do for you?” He asked, hoping she was as direct as she was before. Paige grinned, leaning close to him, “Want to get a room? I’m afraid there might be a relapse.” He was finally relieved by her reply. “Sure. Where would you like to go?” He straightened up and prepared to leave. He’s ready for her. The woman looked around, “Let’s see. I think the closest hotel would be PND. Should we go there?” He squinted and frowned. PND wasn’t exactly a great hotel. It’s quite ordinary and cannot be considered high-end. “How about Queens?” As he catered to well-known business personalities, he has gotten very familiar with the various places they go to. Restaurants, hotels, golf clubs . . . “Queens? Isn’t that a bit far?” His lip twitched. Her words reminded him of their first encounter. Was distance her main concern? “Do you prefer PND?” “Yes.” Her eyes twinkled and he found he couldn’t decline such a request. “Alright. Come with me, then.” He offered his hand and she took it with a smile. Paige couldn’t believe her luck. He actually came to see her. Was it intentional? What was his purpose? She eyed his car, which was the same one he had from the beginning. He saw her eyeing it and wondered if he should get a new one. It has a sentimental value, though. His father gifted it to him. Inside the vehicle, she recalled something she almost forgot, “Congratulations, by the way. You’ve been very successful since I last saw you.” “Thanks. I’d say it’s thanks to you, to be honest.” “To me? What did I do?” She was surprised by his statement. “Well, I didn’t realize how much money you gave me. It allowed me to take more risks and to be aggressive in my approach. If I didn’t have it, I would’ve been very careful and our growth would be much slower. So, yeah. I’d say it’s thanks to you.” “That money was yours. You deserve it.” “But it was too much, don’t you think?” “Of course not. Had I known you’ve never looked at it while we’re still together, I would have given you more. What you helped me with, allowing me to enjoy nightly rest, it’s almost priceless.” “Still, thank you.” Paige sighed. This guy . . . he came just to thank her? Was that it? As they neared the hotel, she felt butterflies in her stomach. She was giddy with excitement. She knew in her heart what she felt for him. She loved him. Since he came to her now, she’s taking it as an opportunity. She’ll try and make him stay, whatever it takes. He booked the room and she quietly followed him. She could see that his body was a little tensed. Was he actually nervous? As he was closing the door, she readied herself. The moment he faced her, she grabbed him by the nape and kissed him with as much passion as she could muster. Austin was caught off guard and stumbled back. He grabbed her by the waist and took a moment to steady himself. He smiled before responding to her enthusiastic welcome. She moaned as he sucked on her tongue, suddenly feeling feverish. It’s been so long since she was pleasured. He truly ruined her for other men. She’d never been with another after him. She just couldn’t . . . whenever she’s approached by a guy, she would automatically compare them to him and she would find them lacking. Unattractive. Undesirable. Even when she’s feeling horny, she could only get off by imagining Austin. She could only think of him. Otherwise, her feelings of desire would vanish in an instant. His anxious feeling already left him. She kept surprising him, her actions relieved him of his worries. His hands slid down to fondle her butt cheeks and she tiptoed to press herself closer to him. He could feel her softness and groaned in anticipation.
