Paige thought it might just be a coincidence, how she would get proper sleep when she’s around him. He hasn’t exactly done anything to make her fall asleep, has he? Especially the second time, when she fell asleep while they’re watching a movie. So, what was it? Was she simply too tired and he just happened to be around when she’s at her limit?
Over the next few days, she kept thinking about it, especially when she’s getting deprived of sleep again. It was only Thursday night, yet she went to the club in the hopes of meeting him. She wanted to find out if it was him or merely a chance.
Hours passed and he hasn’t showed up, frustrating her further. She drunk more as she promised to only wait for another hour. Wait, what? She has nothing to do at home, anyway. She would only lie on her bed and stay awake. The last couple of days, she touched herself while thinking of how he pleasured her. It didn’t work, so now, she wanted to see the real person.
“Are you waiting for me?” Austin asked in a teasing tone.
Finally! When she turned to look, all annoyed and irritated, she saw that he’s wearing a casual shirt. She raised an eyebrow to ask about it.
“I was at home. I have a buddy here who saw you. Were you here to see me?”
Paige pursed her lips, not wanting to admit it. She refused to exchange numbers with him, which would have made things easier if she felt like f*****g with him.
“No? Should I leave, then?” Austin wasn’t exactly confident. A woman like her probably has a few men wrapped around her fingers, who would do whatever she asks them to do, whenever she liked. Well, isn’t he already that way, though? With how great she was, plenty of guys were probably pursuing her. He didn’t dare, though. He looked her up and realized how huge their social gap was. She’s a millionaire running her own company whereas he’s struggling to get his start-up off the ground.
He inwardly sighed. Looks like he wasted time coming here. As he took a step to leave, she suddenly reached out to stop him.
“Can you . . . can you sleep with me?” After experiencing proper rests twice in the last few weeks, she’d been craving it and she got more frustrated whenever it eludes her.
“Next door?” That’s all he can offer her. Even though she’s rich, he’d been paying for the room and the food they’ve had before. This woman has no known boyfriend at the moment.
“Hmm.” She held his arm and dragged him towards the hotel. When they reached the room, she quickly kissed him and she felt her body loosening up, the tension leaving her body. He kissed her back and slowly guided her towards the bed.
The next moment, she was the one on top of him as his back hit the soft bed. Her eyes looked crazed for some reason, but he wasn’t afraid. She acted wildly that night and pleasured him many times. Who was he to complain? She fell asleep on his body, with his c**k still inside her warm channel. Her breathing was deep until it returned to normal. He gently moved her to the side and pulled out of her. He grabbed the fallen blanket and covered their bodies with it. They haven’t talked much and he couldn’t understand why someone like her doesn’t have a proper boyfriend. Why would she choose to sleep with a loser like him? Ah, right. He almost forgot the reputation she made for herself. It was vastly different than her persona when they’re together. He kissed her nose before giving in to sleep.
This time, when Paige woke up, though feeling invigorated, she was also puzzled. What was it with this man? How was she able to fall asleep with him? He’s not the only man she slept with. She’d been with many others before him.
She squinted as she tried to think of a proposition she could offer him. It’s not exactly certain, but she’s inclined to believe it was because of him. Call it a placebo effect, she’s willing to take it.
When he finally woke up and she was about to discuss an offer to him, she was surprised to hear him cursing.
“f**k! I’m going to be late.” The moment he saw the time, he knew he overslept. He got up and wore his clothes. He spared her a moment and asked, “Don’t you have work today? It’s only Friday.”
Paige gulped at seeing his disheveled look. Why does he look so much hotter? The casual shirt looked good on him. “I’ll probably take a day off.”
“Lucky you.” He can’t help but envy her. The boss can take a day off whenever she wants.
“I’ll get going, then.” He bent down and kissed her on the lips. It dazed her for a second.
“Wait, Austin.” She called out before he could go outside.
“Yes?”
“Will you be here tonight?”
“Probably. I’ll find you at the club?”
“Yes, please.”
He grinned at her request. “Sure. See you later, then.”
She was relieved and laid back on the bed. She bit her lip as she thought of how she would open up the topic to him. Would he agree to a nightly meeting? She wanted to see if she’s still capable of having a good rest every damn night and what it would be like to be normal again. She could offer him money, but . . . for some reason, she thought he would not accept. He might even get offended. It’s just the vibe she got from him. Not once did he ask her to pay for anything. If his start-up needed an investment, she could provide him with a substantial capital. She doesn’t mind losing money. In fact, she would just write it off as p*****t, not an investment. She took deep breaths and enjoyed the feeling of being well-rested. She’s able to smile again, the frustration of the previous days has left her.
Austin had a terrible day. Just when his team thought they have things figured out, the testing didn’t go well and only caused more issues to the software. It’s a good thing they save a copy of each version before making any changes to the program. He couldn’t take his mind off of it.
Paige noticed his expression when he arrived and wondered if it’s a bad time.
“Problems from work?”
“Yeah.” He admitted, sounding bitter.
“Anything I can help you with?” She figured he already knew who she was.
Austin paused for a second before shaking his head. Nah. He didn’t want to ask for her help. They’re not that close. They’re not in that kind of relationship.
Paige rolled her eyes at him. Men. They never ask for a woman’s help, even if their lives are already on the line.
“Well, if you’re sure. I have something to discuss with you, though. I would appreciate it if you hear me out.”
“What is it?”
“Not here. It’s a little sensitive. I’ve made a reservation at a restaurant. We can have dinner there as we discuss a few things.”
Austin could only wonder what she’s on about, but he’s curious. “Alright.”
“Come on, then.”
She brought her own car, but since he also has one, they took his. She gave him directions.
Austin raised an eyebrow as they arrived at a high-end looking restaurant.
“It’s my treat tonight. As a thank you.”
He kept his eyebrow raised, “For what? Being a good f**k?” He took the chance and replied with the same bravado she previously used on him.
She grinned at his vulgarity. “In a way. You’re more than good, though.”
She refused to discuss it before they’ve eaten. She wanted to enjoy the food first before discussing serious matters.
“You’ve made me really curious.”
“This may sound unpleasant to you. I’m not sure if you would feel offended, but I have a proposition I hope you would accept.”
“Yeah? What’s that?” He couldn’t think of anything but s*x-related activities. And his guess was right.
His lip twitched when she finished her pitch.
“So, what do you think? You can name your price.”
“I don’t get you. You’re going to pay me to sleep with you? We’re already f*****g, babe.”
“This is different. I need you every night. Right now, we only see each other once a week.”
“You’re that insatiable, huh? If you have that kind of need, shouldn’t you be looking for a boyfriend?”
“That’s a bit difficult, given my position.”
“Every night? I don’t think I have the stamina.”
“We don’t need to have s*x for hours. Some nights, one would be enough.”
He pursed his lips and continued contemplating.
