“I’m home!” I announced myself as I walked through the front entrance.
“You’re finally home? I thought you were going to spend a night at your friend's home, though.” Emma smiled at her mother and father.
“I was showing a new friend around the city. I’m sure you two heard about Valerie Forest’s niece and nephew.” My parents look at each other before nodding their heads.
“Did Valerie manage to find a spot for her niece at the academy? Did it raise an uproar from others who had their name on the waiting list?” I shake my head no.
