Tough Decision

1466 Words
"You jerk! Let me go! " Leila was angry at Nate for dragging her away from Ivan. She didn't even begin beating that man as he deserved, and this arrogant future forcible husband of hers already had her locked within his stupid office. So instead, Nate got a small portion of Leila's punches. A small share because momentarily, he overpowered her. "Stop moving and kicking me with your feet!" Nate yelled at her. He was holding her hands now so she couldn't hit him, but he was no eight-limbed octopus, and her legs were free. For now, he thought. "You promised me you wouldn't hurt Alice! Liar! Bastard!" Leila didn't want to stop screaming or punching Nate, and to his puzzlement, she was crying now. He frowned, staring at the tears rolling down her cheeks. She was crying like a baby, and he found her looking strangely cute. Sweet, even. Plus, Nate knew Ivan very well. He would never force a woman into having s*x with him, so it must have been a consensual act. Leila probably got confused about something, he thought. And her snivelling, well, Nate knew very well how to stop it. "What are you doing? Put me down!" As soon as Nate lifted her, making her sit on the desk, Leila stopped crying immediately. Panic spread over her entire face, replacing tears running down her cheeks. Nate was nestling right between her legs now. "You told my staff you were my wife. So, I'm only acting like your husband." Nate smirked. Leila blushed at his declaration, remembering what she said to that rude receptionist and the way she said it. When she entered the Hills building and requested to meet Nate Hill, the girl behind the reception gave her a funny stare, asking if she had an appointment. Leila said she was his wife in the loudest possible way, wanting to embarrass Nate with her ugly disguise of a tomboy. Before Leila could even react or snap at him, Nate already had his lips glued against hers. He kissed her gently first but then went wilder and wilder, deepening the kiss. His tongue forced hers into that feverish, circling chase, leaving Leila heated and breathless. Nate was currently mad with desire, not understanding why he even wanted to kiss this little tomboy girl or why he missed her ruby-red lips so badly earlier. All he thought about at that brunch meeting were her delicious kisses, hardly listening to those company's clients or his staff afterward in the office. Maybe it was because it had been something unknown to him, a new experience, something fresh and uncharted for him. Nate never hooked up with a tomboy before. So, that must be it, and it should go away soon too, just as it came. Leila fought, finally breaking the kiss, only to inhale a single short breath of air. Nate didn't let her rest, attacking her mouth the next second. Feeling his hands traveling all over her body and outlining her lush curves, she melted under their scorching strokes. There was no will in her left to resist him. She moaned, hanging her hands around his neck, tightening her hold, and bringing him closer. She wanted to get him the closest she could. And the bastard felt her surrendering to him. "Mmm, you like this!?!" Nate more stated than asked, he already knew the answer. And Leila would have responded with the same, whispering affirmative reply if his phone didn't ring just then. The ringing sound stopped her, but it didn't make Nate stop kissing her. "Mmm, your phone..." Leila moaned against his lips, not able to finish her sentence. He only continued devouring her mouth. "Answer it," she mumbled again, and he finally stepped back, picking up that phone call. "Yeah, mom? What's up?" Nate spoke, his eyes not once leaving Leila's face. She was blushing, and he could bet if Karen didn't call him, she would say yes. She liked their kissing just as much as he did. "Ok, mom. You and dad make that decision. See you!" He hung up on Karen while watching Leila getting down from his desk. She fixed her clothes and that short ginger hair of hers a little, too. To Nate, she appeared like she couldn't think of what to do next, standing in front of him blushing and in complete confusion. "I'm leaving," Nate heard her when putting his phone in the pocket. Leila already turned around, walking toward the exit. "Where are you going? Wifey?" Nate leaped, stopping her before she could reach his office door. Gripping her shoulders, he drew her closer. Her head knocked against his chest how quickly and vigorously he had pulled her. "None of your business. I'm not your wife," Leila frowned, trying to push herself further away from him. "Not yet," he said roughly, like threatening her. Then he grabbed her, striding toward the elevator. "Where are we going?" Leila asked when Nate made her sit in the backseat of his car. Then, he joined her, letting his driver steer the vehicle. "Shopping," he only said. "What? Why shopping?" Leila asked him a few times but didn't get any answer.. Nate sat next to her, silent yet looking very laid back. "Answer me!" She raised her voice, getting a sigh from him like she was bothering him. She hoped he would get annoyed with her so much to let her go free. Free from him and his idiotic contract. "We have an engagement party to attend tomorrow night. At my parents. And my wife can't dress like that. Clear?" Impatiently, he said, nodding his head in her direction. "Engagement party?" Leila wondered, but he only stared at his phone, reading some news, ignoring her. When they arrived at the shopping mall, he led her to a luxury store. Even that leather white sofa he had sat on clearly talked about what kind of shop it was, a high-end boutique. Only seeing one motion of his hand, the salesgirl has already started to bring her some dresses. Damn this man! "Go shop!" Nate ordered, crossing his long legs. Leila only stood there in the middle of the room, still as the statue. "I don't need new clothes! I don't want new clothes!" She spitefully said, annoyed by his arrogance. She couldn't wait to board that plane and escape from him tomorrow. All this shopping was getting on her nerves. These luxurious items were so unnecessary. She would not attend that party or his stupid wedding, as tomorrow night she would hopefully and happily land in Paris. Finally! "Pack the whole shop for her then!" Nate calmly told the salesgirl, Leila saw a big smile on her face. He was insane as, of course, it would cost an arm and a leg. But what was that for Nate Hill, right? "Ok! Wait! Ok! I'll pick one!" She rolled her eyes, agreeing to a little black dress, a pair of silver stiletto heels, a silver star pendant necklace with matching dangle earrings. The shop assistant packed her things, and they were out. "Be at the Hill Building at 5 pm tomorrow. We'll take off to the party from there," Nate instructed her coldly. "Fine!" Leila returned equally coldly, and she left his car when he stopped in front of Alice's house. f**k you, I won't be your fake wife, and I won't lie to your parents, you i***t, she thought. Finally, getting inside her bedroom, she packed her suitcase for a flight tomorrow. There shouldn't be any problem, not the tiniest obstacle to board that plane tomorrow. "Hey, Carl! Long time!" Leila chirped when her phone rang, seeing it was her stepbrother. "Cindy! Where are you? Is everything ok with you?" Carl asked worriedly. "I'm fine, going to Paris tomorrow. Want to have dinner with me?" She asked, wanting to see her brother. Because of that asshole Nate Hill, she didn't have time yet. "Can you come home? Dad is missing for three days now, nobody knows where he is. " his voice sounded panicking. "What?" Leila panicked herself. It was not like her dad at all. "We called the police, but they don't have any information. Please, come home! The company is a mess. Mum and I don't know how to run it. Only you can do that," Carl begged her. Leila's heart sank, but she wasn't sure. Maybe it was only one of her father's tricks. But she could trust Carl, that much she knew. He would never fool her or do anything to hurt her. There was a decision to make, whether to come back home, risking becoming another billionaire's contract wife. Or escape to Paris and not help her family. And Leila already knew what to do.
