James pov
I really don't. Friends don't get to do-
I cut my thoughts off. But wait...
I feel a surge of happiness and look up at her.
"Sure." I say as I start walking towards her.
She looks shocked and relieved, but is that a hint of disappointment in her eyes?
I smirk, reaching her.
"You just said we would be friends, what are you doing?" She asks when she looks up at me finally, seeing me so close to her.
Without another word I hug her to my chest tightly, breathing in her scent.
Gosh, I missed this.
She pushes against me but soon relaxes into my arms.
"Stop. Just stop." She says, sounding defeated.
"Friends hug all the time, Lucy. And I'm your friend now."
She pouts and realizes that the term "friend" can be taken many ways. Including this way.
She sighs and leans against me, putting her head on my chest, and inhaling deeply.
"Whatever... I don't care anymore, just remember we're friends, not anything more, not anything less." She says into my chest.
I'm almost sure she can hear my heart racing in my chest right now.
This feels so right, though.
I never want to move again. If I died like this, I would be satisfied.
...
No. I don't think I would. I want a little more from this...

Lucy pov
We stayed like that for a couple minutes more then I pushed him away, claiming I had to collect things from my office for the trip, to Florida. I'm sure I looked like a tomato.
That didn't go like it was supposed to but at least he understands now. We're just friends.
We board the private jet and I sit in the first seat to the left, my boss sits across from me. He looks up and smiles at me. I look down and pull out my phone.
This plane ride was going to be long.

After what felt like years, the plane finally reached it's destination. Florida.
Here for an international meeting with all the biggest CEOs in the world.
My boss, being one of the biggest on that list is scheduled to receive 1st class treatment by the extremely exclusive hotel we're staying at. Never in my dreams have I ever stayed somewhere this expensive.
As we enter the hotel I look around and see a red carpet covering the whole floor, Greek designs on the arches of the lobby, and cream smooth walls.
I stare in awe.
It's beautiful
"Close your mouth, Lucy, we're here on business. We have to be professional." James reminds me, smirking.
Shit, It slipped my mind.
I stop gaping and focus on the task at hand. Finding our rooms.
James walks up to the front desk and begins to converse with the worker there.
She smiles and giggles at something he says while twisting her hair.
I feel something bite at my chest, and I glare at them.
"You like your boss, huh?" I hear someone from behind me whisper in my ear.
I whip around to see a dirty blonde, blue-eyed, male, smirking.
I lean on one leg and roll my eyes.
"Of course not." I state, shaking my head.
His smirk turns into a grin.
"Then why were you glaring at the girl he was talking to?" He asks, coming too close to me for comfort.
I don't know, we're friends, but friends don't glare at each other's company, especially when they're the opposite s*x.
"That's none of your business." I say.
He backs up and puts his hands up.
"Ok, ok don't mind me, but it seems you and him share the same feelings."
My eyebrows scrunch in confusion.
"He's been glaring at me for the last minute." He says, pointing behind me, towards my boss.
I urge myself to not to look at him.
"We're just friends." I say, looking down.
"Why don't I believe that?" He asks, chuckling, looking between me and something behind me.
"You don't have to believe anything, just-" I feel a hand on my shoulder.
I turn and see, James, looking at me and the stranger intensely, with a tight smile on his face.
"Who's this Lucy, and what were you guys talking about?"
How'd he-
Nevermind. Just another problem I have to deal with.
