CLAIRE I spent my day off alone. Leilah had no other patients in her clinic or the other hospital where she works, so I was able to rest. After days of staying in the pack house, I was already back in my apartment. I can’t say that I’m thrilled about it, but at least the neighbors aren’t noisy because they’re apparently on vacation. I looked in the mirror and realized how much my baby bump had grown. “You gave me quite an experience with all the mood swings,” I mumbled but couldn’t hide my smile. Soon, I’ll get to see baby Miracle. Whenever I think of holding my child in my arms, it all seems worth it. “Oh...” I was startled when I felt the baby move. Of course, it wasn’t the first time, but it had been a while since I felt the baby move so much. “I hope you’re excited to meet me too,”
