“Scarlet! Quick, serve the wine to the VIP room 4.” Mrs. Queenie commanded, but with a sweet smile on her face.

“Yes, Mam! Right away.” Scarlet smiles back, willingly obeying the order of her boss.

Mrs. Queenie is the same person who dragged Maria in this place to VIP room 2. Where Maria met Mr. Lorenzo Bianchi. Paradiso.

Mrs. Queenie's life changed since that night. Paradiso was once under the operation of underworld cruel gangsters. But when Lorenzo Bianchi bought the club after the night with the nun cosplayer, life in the club became more peaceful and less trouble.

Thanks to that woman, Mr. Bianchi gave them a fair salary and incentives, the rules changed, and no abuse of working hours. In other words, he is doing the business with benefit to the employees.

Scarlet is a newly hired cosplayer waitress. She is a fast learner and even more cheerful than any other employee. She has the most alluring face in the club. She easily attracts customers.

But she is a special employee, she is not allowed to entertain customers, according to the person who recommended her. It's been three months now and since she entered the club to work, it has tripled the profit. The rumours and news spread like wildfire every day, and day by day a new customer is entering the club to see the apple of the eye, no other than Scarlet.

Scarlet knocks three times before entering the VIP room. Until she hears a deep cold voice allowing her to enter.

Scarlet confidently entered the cool room. She doesn't care whether her clothes are revealing. Cosplay costumes are not a big deal to her. She is wearing a red eye mask, black bunny headband, and black leather gloves up to her arms paired with a fitted bodysuit with a revealing cleavage heart shape top. Her high heels are pointed and with a red dark full lipstick, it matches her appearance.

Carrying the tray with expensive wine, Scarlet placed it carefully on the centre table.

“Thank you, dear. How I wish you could join us here,” the old man said, smiling widely while arms were on the shoulders of the two sexy ladies, left and right.

“I loved too but I am afraid you will be banned here if you insist,” Scarlet answered, blowing a kiss to the old man and turning her back, walking out sexily in the room.

She then checks the time, and her shift is over. She hurriedly fixed the trays and empty bottles and tin cans she collected, segregating and throwing them to its designated trash bin. When she entered the locker, kicking her feet to finally remove the high heels. She then sits on the bench provided inside and massages her toes that are a bit red and swollen.

Until now, she is not used to such shoes. She came from a convent and flat shoes are the comfortable shoes she ever wears.

Removing her costume one by one and the heavy make-up with the wipes, she looked at the mirror and smiled.

Back to being Maria. She smiled. In this club, during working hours, she is Scarlet. The special waitress they say. Not because she is beautiful, but how the management and the people treat her with special care. She wonders but to avoid trouble with her co-workers, Maria just goes with the flow.

She bid goodbye to Mrs. Queenie and the middle-aged lady make sure she is safe to exit from the club.

Maria passed to the alley where there are men who are playing cards, drinking alcohol, and puffing cigarettes. Since she started working at the Paradiso, she never felt fear nor was afraid to walk in the street at this hour. Feeling weird, she ignores them, stealing glances at her.

Maria enters her small gloomy apartment and slams her body on the old sofa for a while, scrolling her keypad phone. This is the phone she was using to communicate with Sister Eva. Since Lorenzo kidnapped them, she never had the time to visit her. She feels bad about it but she knew, Sister Eva will understand and when she gets a perfect time, she will bring Morris with her.

Maria suddenly remembers her son, it's been three months and she wonders what Morris looks like. Did his shaking tooth get removed? Is he brave enough to handle the pain? He is just 4 years old and Morris and sometimes, she was feeding Morris with sweets until his teeth became rotten. It was her fault.

Maria decided to take a shower and when done, she opened the mini-fridge checking whatever food she kept from leftovers. It was her routine. While eating her food, Val came across her mind and wanted to curse.

The day she left Lorenzo, Aunty Laura let the driver's bodyguard send her to Val Roberto's residence next town to prove that Lorenzo has his word of honor. Little did she know, Val Roberto was set free not because she begged for Lorenzo.

Val Roberto has a lot of things to explain for her but instead, Val must choose to remain silent.

Lorenzo kidnapped Val because he wanted him to teach a lesson.

At first, Lorenzo was in doubt but after confirming it to his cousin, Lorena, Val is the same person they were looking for years.

Val Roberto is Lorena's fiancè and at that time, he wasn't ready for responsibility when he learned that Lorena was pregnant. Running from obligation, Val Roberto hid under the cassock, he managed to enter the seminary and became a deacon. Aside from escaping his trouble, he has Maria whom he thought will help him forget Lorena.

Val used Maria to protect his identity when Bianchi's family looked for him. He lied and treated Maria special and didn't expect the woman to develop feelings for him for a short period. He took the opportunity to hide when he heard about Lorena's men looking for him. He decided to enter the priesthood in order not to be suspected by many.

Maria was so shocked to see Val Roberto in his house with a woman on top of him, both naked, they are in a moaning mess and exchanging sweet words to each other.

Maria catches her breath from the scene, without making a noise, she leaves Val Roberto's room.

She sat leaning her back on the wall-hugging herself from shock as her tears fell, racing on her cheeks. Though she was hurt, she feels lighthearted. Finally, her chase is over, and probably, she can start anew. It is not easy but she must be strong. Now that she gambled on Morris over her love for Val Roberto, losing the chance for Morris is the last thing she can do. She will take back Morris when she is ready to face Lorenzo and begs to give her a chance...but how?
