Chapter 25

“You can really stop shaking me now Petrov,” said a somber Gabriel. “Do you have any idea how scared I was? One moment you were talking then everything had gone absolutely silent, when I came down here you were lying here speaking gibberish and I had no idea how to bring you back. And I did not know that if water will work….” Petrov kept on rambling and Gabriel understood that his brother was genuinely concerned about his well being and was trying to cope with his helplessness. Gabriel sat up and pulled Petrov into a tight hug and stayed that way for sometime. He was blessed to have a brother like this because after seeing what his father could do or rather he had done he had no more hopes of betterment. When he pulled away Petrov said,” Brother, what has happened? Please tell me, you are scaring me now.” “What I witnessed right now was more than enough to scare away the lifetimes away all which I had spent. And trust me Brother you would never believe what I saw and not only you, would no one do. I had thought that I had seen more than enough violence in my life but then unexpected and unwanted things happen all the time in life but this… this surpassed anything and everything I have ever experienced. And under no condition you are to touch any of the symbols or marks which have been drawn on the floor. And don’t ask any questions as of now. We need to leave this place as of now,” said Gabriel. “Of course Brother. I have dropped down a rope taking the help of which we can climb up. But you are scaring the wits out of me. We can always discuss about it later on, come let me help you up,” offered Petrov. “Petrov I am perfectly capable of doing it myself and I am even more scared than you are because I have no idea about how to deal with rather cope with what I just now saw,” replied Gabriel. Both the brothers climbed out of the horrific basement room into the light of Regina’s room once again and Gabriel commented, “You smell of her perfume Petrov. Did you forget that…” Before Gabriel could finish the sentence Petrov said,” I forget nothing Brother. It is not possible for me to forget any of those, whether it has been done to me or to anyone else but I also cannot forget some other facts and today I felt like that no one had ever tried upon her, I would like to give one last try before I finally give up upon her.” “Well a very noble motive and thought I would say. Just don’t get carried away by her lies and falsifications which she wears around herself like an armour. You are a responsible adult and have enough good sense to not embark upon which you already have,” said Gabriel. Suddenly downstairs the telephone started ringing, and both the brothers were down in a flash. Gabriel picked up the receiver and said, “Hello.. Gabriel here.” “This is your Headmaster, boy. Can I ask for a favour once more?” came the reedy voice from the other end of the receiver. “Of course Sir. Anything for you. Please tell me,” replied Gabriel. “There is another student in your class, whose name is Isis. She is unwell to attend school and probably wouldn’t be coming for a few more days. Can you please go to her home and give her the school project assignments and homework?” “But Sir, why me? I am just a new student and I have just arrived at school…” said Gabriel trying not to sound too eager. “Well boy, Raven told me that you were sitting beside her last day at class and everyone else at the school avoids her like plague. So I though probably it would be the best to ask of you,” said the Headmaster. “Sure Sir. Not a problem. Could you please tell me her address so I can find out the place?” asked Gabriel his heart bubbling up with excitement. The man spoke the address and Gabriel pretended noting it down because he knew the exact position of her house even better than he knew the lines in his hands. As Gabriel put down the receiver he then realized that The Headmaster had said that Isis was sick and won’t be able to come to school which made him sick to the core. What had happened to her? And here he was without trying to find out what happened had gone for investigations of horrifying crimes that had taken place against women centuries ago. “What has happened to Isis?” asked Petrov. “As of now, I am standing at the same position as you are and have no idea about what is going on. Last day when we saw her at the cafeteria she was perfectly alright, she carried a horde of books with her from the library but now I come to hear that she is so unwell that she won’t be able to attend school for a few more days,” said Gabriel trying to control his rising panic. “No need to panic really. We shall go to visit her in the evening with flowers and assignments, then I think your doubts will be cleared and you mind will be at peace,” said Petrov trying to console Gabriel. “Yes Petrov you are right. Well Brother can you go and talk to Regina for some time. I need to do something more before we leave for her home,” said Gabriel. “Brother you are not going back down there without me, I am telling you I am not taking this risk once again. You do not have any idea how much afraid I was seeing you. I have never seen you in that condition before,” said Petrov with panic and warning in his voice at the same time. “No Petrov. I need to talk to Grandma for some time,” said Gabriel. “Oh!!!! Thank Heavens…then it is fine. I shall take your leave then,” said Petrov visibly relieved. What Gabriel said was true, but only partly. He intended to go back to the room once more but this time with adequate preparations. He needed to know who that girl named Marilyn was, what was her story and how did she come to marry his father and what happened after she died. He had his doubts that it was Marilyn who had showed him her last memories which were connected to her death, such brutality and vicious violence. Dying at childbirth was nothing uncommon but dying at childbirth after getting pregnant on rape by a demon and murdered at the hands of her own child which was definitely not human, this was something which needed to be checked out. And his father was the worshipper of demons and he practiced in Satanic cult, seeing that was unnerving enough but remembering that whole scene once more along with the expressions in his father’s eyes made Gabriel feel nauseous as if he would throw up but fortunately they did not require food to survive. Gabriel went up to his room and checked the time and also calculated mentally that what time it would be in their city, whether Grandma would be awake or not. He locked the door and put an instrument which would soundproof his room to anyone outside. He called up his Grandma. She picked up the call after the fourth ring and said,” So how is my favourite grandson doing?” “Grandma, can I ask you for a favour?” “Of course you can, you can ask me anything you need to. Tell me.” “Please kill your son, my father.” “Okay. So what has he done this time? And to such an extent that it has made you to want to kill him?” “Yes Grandma. I would have been able to explain you what has happened but I myself am not sure about what the whole thing is going on here. But I just know that I need you here very soon because I am not strong enough to witness the horrors to this extent,” said Gabriel his voice on the verge of breaking down. “Gabriel, my child, are you crying? Will you tell me what has happened? I shall come down there immediately but please tell me what has happened.” “Your son is the worshipper of Satan, Grandma and he has murdered countless women as sacrifice so as to give birth to demons and I saw this with my own eyes,” said a weeping Gabriel. “Gabriel I don’t understand what you are saying. Are you in your senses or you have been bewitched? How is that even possible?” said his Grandmother who was beyond astonished and shocked rather. “Granndma, I can’t explain that to you. So I think it would be better and witness it yourself when you don’t believe me,” said Gabriel who by that time had regained his composure. “I shall come at the first available flight my darling but I won’t be able to stay back for long. I need to return the same day, will that be fine with you?” “Yes Grandma, I would die for one sight of you at this moment. Please come as soon as possible,” said Gabriel hanging up the call. Gabriel knew that his Grandma would be here as soon as possible but after asking her to come he was now thinking if he had made the correct decision in asking her to come. It is not every day that a mother comes to face the fact that her son has consciously committed hordes of murders and is not the least bit of guilty for all those reason and has lived a double life for his entire tenure that he as alive. But then again he thought that sometime or the other this revelation was necessary and if anyone at all could handle the situation or advise him what to do would be Electra. Gabriel took his cell phone with him and again went inside the room, opened the trapdoor and jumped down inside once more. He switched on the flashlight and looked at the room once again careful in stepping on the floor because he was not ready to get sucked inside someone else’s memory lane altogether and again witness something equally horrific, a crime which had been committed against another innocent wench. But how come no one had tried finding out these girls after they had been missing all the time. Gabriel reached the wall and slowly removed the draperies over the paintings that were hanging over the wall and he came to face the painting of his mother. It was a replica of the painting that hung at their castle in Arkhangelsk on the great wall. If this place or rather house was the room of rendezvous for his father’s extra marital affairs then why his mother’s picture was hanging here. This new situation was absolutely baffling when he felt something moving around in the room and immediately took a defensive stance. “If I want to harm you then there is no way in which you can protect yourself against me boy, but I am here moving around in this room free from that blasted circle because of your moment of stupidity. Well, thanks to that I am in position to speak to you,” said the voice of a female which Gabriel recognized as Marilyn’s whose screams were still ringing in his ears. “I would like to introduce myself to you Madame. My name is Gabriel and currently I am staying in this house,” said Gabriel tentatively not knowing how she might react. “Well boy, I have already come to know that since your brother did not make any qualms about uttering your name like a prayer on his breath and trying to wake you up from your unconscious state. But it is good to have a brother as devoted as that. I have never known all those in the short time of the life I was alive,” said Marilyn’s spirit’s voice with a sigh. “Madame I would like to ask you something if you do not mind them…”his sentence was cut off in midway when he took a wrong step and stepped on the circle which was marked on the top point of the pentagram.
