Chapter 23

2133 Words
Even before Gabriel could understand anything, the wooden chair struck him with full force and he went flying backwards and hit the wall. He lost his balance and fell down on the floor automatically when he found that several other stuff were coming flying at him at different speeds and at different angles. At first he was befuddled at what the heck was happening in an old unopened basement, and then he understood that all the things that were flying at him were almost makeshift stakes meant for him to die. But he could not do anything to protect himself from the unknown assailants other than take a foetal position and curl up. All different articles that were in the room kept on coming at him with strong blows and the last that was left was a massive heavy oak wood table which was coming at and sliding towards him in order to crush him with the wall. Gabriel moved away from the blow and the table hit the wall with a huge sound. Someone from above was shouting his name and Gabriel knew that it was Petrov but he was not even able to breathe in the dust and webs which were flying all over and settling on him not even allowing him to breathe. “I am coming down now,” shouted Petrov. “Noooo…..don’t come down,” said Gabriel amidst coughs. “What the f**k is happening down there? Are you fine?” said a concerned Brother. “I’m good. Wait there. Don’t come down,” said Gabriel. From the moment Petrov had started conversing with Gabriel the things being thrown all round and specifically at him stopped. Gabriel got the chance to stare at his surroundings properly from the point that he had landed on his feet. The whole room looked as if it had been locked in the era of sixties. High beams and artificial vines climbing all over them. The draperies and heavy hangings in the room obscuring so much part of the wall. And there were typically odd paintings hung on the walls and the whole floor was marked with very odd symbols which seemed to be synonymous with Satanic cult that are normally practiced by various old tribes. And there were small circles scratched all around the room and Gabriel counted them as five. There were burn marks inside those circles and the whole room smelled of old wine and sulphur and cobwebs and dust. Gabriel went ahead and knelt down outside one circle and touched the burn mark. What happened next he was not ready for that in all the lifetimes he had spent. The moment he touched the mark a shrilling wail pierced inside his ears which felt like that a banshee was screaming her hearts out and only he was the one hearing it. Gabriel was slowly getting sucked inside something of which couldn’t fathom what it was. Suddenly he again was in the same room but it was a different time altogether. He was not in the time when he existed. It was sometime around in the 1800, but the room was same only the décor and condition was absolutely different. Gabriel looked at the room with new vision once again, he understood that he had been sucked inside a time-lapse. He was currently in the past, he just hoped that no one would be able to see him because although he could converse in their language and accents but he could not have explained his clothes which absolutely out of the world odd in that era. Amongst in his muses, he heard someone coming down the stairs and it was sound on wood, one of a heavy body and one of lighter footsteps and soft clicks. Gabriel saw that the wooden floor was absolutely plain and there were no marks except one big pentagram engraved on the wood. “Come now Darling. My love, yes, yes, softly and slowly. We don’t want you to get hurt in any way, do we?” said a man’s voice. The voice was well cultured and polished with the accent that Gabriel could place from Germany. The man came to the scene from the darkness and Gabriel found himself looking at his father. There was a woman whose hands he was holding. She was not even a woman, she was hardly older than a child, she looked hardly fifteen and she was all giggles and fawned over him. Love and admiration was well reflected in her eyes. “You are sure that you can keep my secrets sweetheart?” asked his father to the girl whose hands he was holding. Gabriel who was hiding behind the draperies was feeling nauseous watching the scene. He understood that he was inside someone’s memory and his gut feelings said that he was going to watch something horrific. “Of course, my lord. I am your wife, it is my holy duty to keep your secrets locked in my heart,” said the girl. “Oh Marilyn you are so good, why are you so good to me sweetheart?” asked Sariel. The girl named Marilyn giggled once more and willingly came in Sariel’s embrace. “So Darling are we ready for the secret?” Marilyn nodded her head in excitement. “But before that you have to do something, ready?”asked Sariel. Marilyn again nodded at him. Sariel made her stand at the corner of the one of the tips of the pentagram and gave her a small knife and asked her to draw a circle around her. When Marilyn was drawing the circle crouching down she was oblivious to the fact her husband was dropping sand all around her as she was completing circle and binding her inside whispering incantations which Gabriel thought their were not supposed to know. “So now Marilyn, you will be standing inside this circle until I tell you to get out of it,” said Sariel with a smile. The smile was nothing less than sort of sinister and evil. Sariel lit the candles outside the pentagram and started chanting out something in loud voice and a different language altogether, which was not of any of the known languages amongst Gabriel’s vocabularies. When Sariel finished chanting the whole room filled up with an evil laughter and the smell of burning sulphur and a dark smoke arose from inside the pentagram. Marilyn looked frightened asked in a scared voice,”What is happening? What is this? I don’t want to stay here,I want to leave….Please my lord…” “Oh my dear girl, we can’t let that happening, can we? You promised me that you will keep all my secrets locked in your heart didn’t you? Once a promise is made you cannot go back upon it, it is a holy binding my dear!!” said Sariel, the look in his eyes was absolutely a maniacal gleam, which nonetheless frightened Marilyn. “Please my lord, I beg of you. I shall not speak a single word of this to anyone. Please let me go,” said a sobbing Marilyn who was desperately trying to get out of the circle but couldn’t budge in any way, it seemed that her feet had been glued to the floor. By that time, a very odd, disgusting and sinister looking creature had arrived in the room from inside the pentagram. Looking at the creature Gabriel’s heart turned into ice and Marilyn started shrieking in fear. But it did not deter the creature from coming outside the pentagram and neither did his father’s evil laughter stop. The creature which came out of the floor had a gaunt skeletal face, which was painted like that of a joker’s mask and horns were protruding out of his head. It was the same face which was made in the form of a copper knocker on the trapdoor. The joker licked his lips looking at the sight of a crying Marilyn and said,” I must say that you have an impeccable taste in women. This one is truly a sight to behold…porcelain like skin, eyes like almonds, ruby red lips.. This one is nothing else but a walking disaster for men. Good that my loyal servant brought you here. So tell me my beauty, don’t you like me?” The voice that was coming out of the voice box was thick, gravelly and sounded so evil that it was pretty obvious that the creature was or has been summoned from hell. But what purpose would this female serve that was still unclear to Gabriel. Marilyn was still sobbing at the sight of the creature and cowering back trying to get away which was apparently a futile effort. The smell that had filled the room was the same smell that had choked Gabriel and Petrov in the school corridor. “I try to be of the loyal servant my master expects me to be and try to bring out the maximum pleasure for my master,” said Sariel, his voice dripping with butter so thick that it could be easily sliced with knife. “And I expect nothing less from you. So this is the one who my bride is for tonight, isn’t it? But you my dear girl, seem to afraid of me, what scares you so much?” asked the vile creature with sarcasm dripping from his voice and he was gradually moving towards the poor girl and the girl had no other option except curling herself and crying and she avoided looking at the creature. Suddenly the creature whom Sariel referred to as master was invisible and wrapped around Marilyn’s body in the form of smoke, shredding her dress to ribbons. Marilyn was shrieking trying to protect her modesty of which nothing was left. She was naked except the few strips of cloth hanging from her shoulders and she still couldn’t move, and the smoke did not leave her alone and the next thing that happened was she was sprawling on her back and her legs were spread and the smoke had filled her body and was raping her inside out. Gabriel could only imagine the pain that she was enduring. Suddenly she was choking and her sobs and screams had stuck inside and into her open mouth the smoke entered her body. Her body was contorting with pain and her voice was blocked and muffled screams were coming out. The small body of the girl bloated up suddenly, rather her stomach bloated up like a pregnant woman who was on the verge of giving birth. And just after this happened, the smoke left her body and Marilyn went into labour. Gabriel had only once felt so helpless in his life that was when he had seen the ashes of his mother flying in the meadow of lavender. The poor girl had little idea about what was happening with her body and she clutched her stomach and again screamed in pain. “This one is feisty, isn’t she? And if not anything then certainly she tastes marvelous,” said the creature licking his lips with his tongue which was forked and black in colour. Marilyn’s chokes and cries still had not stopped. She was still alive when something tore open her stomach and came out crawling of her uterus. Gabriel although had seen many violent things in his life but this surpassed everything. Her body was ripped open from inside and she slowly bled to death within a few minutes. Sariel took up the thing that had crawled out and wrapped it in a clean cloth and gave it to his master. Gabriel looked carefully and saw that it was child with red mottled skin, a forked tail and the face was same as that of the father with small pointed horns poking from his forehead. “Isn’t he a pretty thing? My son--- He will be named as Agares--- my first –born,” said the creature with pride in his voice and eyes. Sariel looked at him with admiration and Gabriel felt like ripping out his father’s throat with his bare hands. He for the first time was ashamed in his life that he had come to earth due to the semen of this male. And just like that Gabriel was back in the room during present times and found that Petrov was hovering over his body shaking him.
