I tried my best not to pay attention to the heated stare Jace was giving me, I could practically feel his eyes on me, every time I made any little movement.
I almost sighed with relief when we reached the reception area,taking a seat in one of the soft red chairs I leaned back and waited patiently for him to check us in.
I looked on in disbelief at what I saw next, the girl at the reception desk was practically flirting with him!Is that what they paid her to do?
I watched on in disgust as she continuously flipped her hair and bit her lips, giving him a warm welcoming smile.Was this girl for real?
The worst part was that he was encouraging it, he gave her one of those brilliant smiles that any girl will melt at , at one point he even held her hands, tracing circles lightly on her palms.
This was becoming unbearable!
"Here is your key Mr. Patterson , be sure to tell me if you need anything else, I'm right here if you need me for anything."she said with a wink.
I rolled my eyes and tried my best to keep my mouth shut.
"You ready?"Jace asked with a grin on his face.
"Yeah."I mumbled annoyed and irritated.
The girl was looking at us suspiciously, she probably felt that we were a couple, I couldn't help but be happy at that thought, at least that would keep her away.
That was until she opened her big mouth.
"Is this a friend?"she asked in her irritating voice.
Jace looked at me and shook his head.
"Nope, I'm just following orders and giving this poor girl a ride home, you could say I'm being a big brother."he replied smoothly.
I couldn't help but gape at him! Did he really just say that?
The girl seemed happy about that and began to smile, I felt like slapping that smile off her face.
"I'm ready you know!"I said through gritted teeth.
"Well start walking."he replied looking at me.
I rolled my eyes yet again and began walking even though I didn't know where I was going.
I felt someone grab my hands, I turned and saw it was Jace , what did he want?
"What ?" I said pulling my hands out of his grip, my skin burned where he touched me, why the hell did I react to his touch?
"You're going the wrong way."he said studying me as if trying to figure out what was my problem.
"Well maybe if you didn't spend all your time flirting with that girl out there you would of been able to show me the right way!"I snapped.
His eyes widened at my outrage , probably shocked that something like that bothered me.
Which was a good question, why was it bothering me?
"You're going to be around me a lot now, you should get used to this, its normal."he said with a chuckle.
"Get used to girls eye r****g you?"I asked angrily.
He laughed again shaking his head.
"She wasn't eye r****g me , as you put it.She was just doing her job but why is it bothering you so much?"he asked curiously, with a hint of amusement.
"It isn't bothering me, I'm just upset that I had to see all that, it wasn't as entertaining for me as it was for you.Now would you please show me the way to my room."
He put out his hand, gesturing for me to start walking.
We walked side by side until we reached the room door.He opened it and I entered quickly, pushing past him.The room was rather beautiful, you could say fit for a royal but what else could I expect, he was rich.
I threw myself on the sofa,letting out a breath, feeling relaxed .
I watched in utter dismay as Jace walked in shutting the door behind him.
"What are you doing?" I asked in shock.
"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm getting settled in."he said like if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"You can't sleep here!"I complained.
"Why not?"
"Because I'm a girl and I need my private space, besides you're like a millionaire so you could more that pay for another room."I scoffed.
"True but you see Miss Rose, the receptionist said that there is only one suite left, we were lucky that we got any at all, so I'm afraid you're stuck here with me."he said smiling.
This couldn't be happening !
