It’s been two weeks since the incident with the video games, that night in Zain’s room. Since then, I’ve been eating dinner with all of them, sometimes Grayson as well. Grayson was a strange one. He was usually quiet and seemingly shy, but something about Zain seemed to open him up. Sometimes it made me feel like an outsider when I saw Zain and Grayson and Lexi together, because it was so obvious they’ve been best friends all their lives, but I was never discouraged.
