Caspian followed our son to the nursery where he would get cleaned up while the doctor stitched me back up. I never even imagined that they could do this with a wolf since we healed so fast, but I guess since we weren’t allowed to shift it had an effect on our bodies after all. I might not have given natural birth, but I was incredibly tired by the time they pushed me back into my room, and all I could do was smile at Caspian, who was holding our most prized possession. The love of my life. The one person in the world I would freely give my life for. It was a little overwhelming to think that I could feel this way about anybody, but our child would need all the love I could give him.
