Chapter 2

1413 Words
Sean was busy cleaning his room when he received a message on his social media account. @:Hi there, I just want to become your friend if you are not busy. Sean never entertained any messages from an unknown person. But this one makes him laugh as the profile is so funny. &: Your profile is funny. Lol. @: My friends did that when I was sleeping. &: I see, anyway, I am busy. Chat with you later. @:Thanks for the time, bye. Sean is still laughing at the profile of that stranger in his inbox. He picks his phone again and contacts his best friend. "Web, guess what?" "Mn." "Someone sends me a friendly message and the profile is so funny," Sean keeps laughing while describing it to his best friend. "So that means you are friends now?" "No, no. We just exchanged a few messages and I didn't reply after 2 messages.” "Good and you should. Don't trust that easily okay. Maybe they are scammers." "Web, you know even people want to scam me, I have nothing to give because I am poor, remember." "Sean quit saying that." "Oh, I'm sorry. So are you going to pick me up?" "Yeah, baby." "Yeah, I'm your baby. Goodnight." "Yes, you are always my baby. Goodnight." Sean almost had a heart attack every time he will flirt with his own best friend. It feels real but he knows, Web is just really kind to him and always rides on his craziness. Men and women already confessed to Web Phillips in the university, but he is wondering why his best friend is not interested and every time he receives a letter, Web will let him read it for him. Dear Web, You rock my world. Web, be my boyfriend, please. Web, let me show you my world. "Eewww, what are those?" Sean can't even finish reading it. "Web, can you read it by yourself? It gives me goosebumps. Hahaha!" But the truth is, he is jealous. How he wishes he can say his feelings to him directly just like those senders and who attempted to say it in Web's face. But like any other, Sean is afraid that Web will slap him with the truth, the same response he did to the girl who just confessed to him directly two days ago. "Web, I love you. Can you give me a chance?" "I'm sorry, no. I am not interested." The girl just ran away from embarrassment together with her friends. "What about you, where are the letters that you received?" Web asked and Sean pouted. "Web, are you insulting me? You know that no one dares to like and even look at me." "Am I not?" "Web, you know what I mean.." Ah yes, if Web received a lot of confessions and letters, Sean doesn't have any, never in his life. Why? Sean is a nerdy guy who loves to wear a baggy shirt and loose pants with specs. People thought Sean was only a toy to Web Phillips. Sean is someone who can make for you an assignment but not boyfriend material. Web doesn't care if people are accusing him that way, that's how they thought it is and see it that way. He cares only for Sean and he is happy with Sean, alone. No one knows that Web is so in love with Sean from head to toe. Not even Sean. The reason why he keeps rejecting those who are confessing and showing their love interest to him. Beep! Beep! "I'm coming!!!! Bye Dad, Mom. I love you." Sean bid farewell to his foster parents. "We love you, honey. Take care, Web good morning!" "Morning uncle, morning auntie." Web waved his hand while the other one was opening the door for Sean. Mr. and Mrs. Evans sensed it already that the two have feelings for each other but they haven't discovered it yet and they are fine with that. They just waved their hands until the car disappeared in their sight. While driving the car, Web asked. "What do we have there?" "I made an egg sandwich and I have some strips of bacon here,” Sean answered while preparing it for his best friend to eat. “Let me have them.” “Aaahh!" Sean said and Web opens his mouth and bites some sandwiches. After swallowing the sandwich, Sean shoves the whole strip of bacon that he folded into four. He then picks a ply of tissue and cleans Web's mouth. "Is it good?" Sean asked. "Always as long as it's made and cooked by my baby." Web glanced to his right to see Sean who is blushing now. "So, how is your new friend? Did he message you again?" Web change the topic to make them comfortable. "No, no. Not anymore. Maybe that person is just playing around and picks me randomly in the recommendations. "Maybe, hmm.." Web grinned and focused again on driving. "Have some bacon, ah.." Sean gives him another bacon and another one while he bites the sandwich. They shared the sandwich and when he saw Web's mouth was empty, he fed him again until they finished it. Sean pulls out a bottle of water and when they reach the stoplight in red, he let Web hold the bottle and drink some and Web burp. "Perfect!" Sean exclaimed. Web parked the car and as usual, he will collect their notes and books together with the bags in the back seat. They perform their pinky promises and Sean waved his hand and bid goodbye. "See you later. Bye. Thanks for the ride." Sean runs while Web is just smiling at him. "So when will you confess to him?" his friend Archie asked who just came out from the car. Oh yeah, Web forgets. He thought no one knew about his feelings for Sean. He has four loyal and faithful friends who finally discover his secret. And of course, they can be trusted. They have a motto, "trust is hard to gain but easy to lose." And Web is not an easy person to deal with once you lose that trust from him. Well, all his four friends have no plan of betraying him, they have their world and secrets too. "Shut up Archie, someone might hear you," Levi said. "Web, what do you plan now, soon we will graduate and you will be separated from him.?" Matt asked. "Babe, Web don't need to tell you his plan if ever. Is it necessary?" Edgar encircled his hand to Matt's waist. "Babe, I am just worried about him." Web just walked and all of them followed. They are classmates because all of them are taking the same courses and majors and they all came from a wealthy family. After his class, Web dialed Sean's number but he couldn't contact him. He opens his notes and checks his best friend's schedule and the number of the classroom. He found Sean alone in the room, fixing his broken specs while crying silently. "Sean...?" "Web..." "What happened?" "Someone bumped at me and my glasses fell and they stepped on it accidentally after the bell rang," Sean pouted and sniffed. Web wiped his tears and lifted his chin. "Look at me, you can still see me right?" Sean just nod. "But you are getting blurry in my eyes when you are far. I want my specs." "Let's go, hold my arm and I will carry your things." Web brings Sean to the Ophthalmologist and the doctor suggests he wear contact lenses instead of glasses. Sean refused but Web insisted. He pays all the bills and even orders lots of boxes of Dailies Contact lenses that fit his vision. Sean is a 20/20 vision but he has an astigmatism condition that makes his vision blurry and he is nearsighted. "Web, I owe you a lot. When I get my job, I will pay you okay?" "Sean baby, you don't have to." "Then hire me in your company and I will work for you for the rest of my life when we graduate, is that ok?" "Sean, I will surely hire you but I need to pay you a salary, or else, the Labor will sue me...understand?" "Web, thank you..." Sean hugs his best friend still holding the paper bags in his hands. "Sean, we promise right? Between you and me, thank you and sorry is not necessary..." Sean responds with nods and a smile.
