17- The Striking Snake

I was horrified. I would never, ever have uttered those words if the deep effect of them had crossed my mind. I needed to run and rectify the damage that I had done. But I did not have the nerve to face him just yet. I had pushed him away, and that too, so brutally.  My wet clothes were not helping me clear my head either. The chill had gotten harsher from the rain and my body was literally freezing. Standing up from the ground I walked towards the edge of the cave to look for Azazel. As the rain was pouring down so hard, I was sure he had not gone far. The air was rich with the earthy scent of wet sand. If the troubles had not ruined my past days, I would have relished the aura surrounding me like a starved woman. Earth and I were connected in a way that was like a connection of blood
